So, many of you have heard that the release of the sixth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been moved from this Thanksgiving to next summer. First and foremost, please know that this schedule change has absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, me, or Summit Films (so enough with the imdb death wishes, okay?). This is Warner Bros. decision, and it was not motivated by anything Twilight-related.

^I heard that harry potter was being pushed back. I was a little dissapointed, but now I can go to the midnight premiere!! yay! Plus, I get to see Twilight sooner!!! yipee!!

Anyways, back to what I was gonna say. lol. I agree with what Mad About Mickey said in an earlier post. A book from Renesmee's point of view would be so cool! Maybe it could be about when the Volturri com back. I don't know....it might work....

ok so I'm listening to the books, and I just got to the part in Book one where they meet Laurent, James and Victoria. Starling discrepencies....
Victoria's hair is described as "a startling shade of red" yet in the movie she is blonde. In book two when Bella jumps off the cliff, she says she sees something that looks like flames on the water, which turns out to be Victoria's hair. Why would they change that?
Laurent is described as Olive skined with dark hair. I imagine a more Hispanic looking man, yet in the movie he is black.
James is said to have brown hair, in the movie, he is blonde.
So why the heck didn't Stepenie catch this since she was on set? Why wouldnt' they want to get the "look" of the characters down to a T?? I'm a tad disappointed!

Well, in the case of Laurent, I think they decided to change it so that there was a range of cultures represented in the movie, rather than just a majority of caucasian people. I read a report about that somewhere. To me, the actress that plays Victoria is more of a strawberry blonde, which I guess could count as red. Who knows why they changed that. Maybe the actress was so good for the role that they overlooked it. As for James, I have no clue why they wouldn't make him look like he does in the book.

I was reading an article yesterday, and next to the article there was a picture of Edward and Bella. I was quite surprised to see that Bella actually looked paler than Edward in that particular picture. What happened to the vampires being shockingly pale?

I haven't really noticed all that stuff. I'm just trying to be really open minded about the movie because I know its never gonna match exactly to what I pictured in my head.

And James's hair looks pretty close to brown when I've seen it.

Oh and the press release pictures never look quite right, especially the one on the cover of Entertainment Weekly. Bella looked like a lady of the night. lol!

in most Edward looks more pale. The Victoria thing really bothers me though since her hair actually has some relevance to the story line. James I can live with. Laurent though, I would have thought they would get someone with more of a hispanic look... that's still diverse. I just think it's wierd they move from the story like that.
Pretty much ALL of the people playing the Cullens have fake and or died hair. Except Eseme. I think they just forgot about Victoria.
I'm still excited for it. I just have these mental pictures and think they could have done a little better staying true.

I refuse to read what she posted of the book so far. I want to wait. I know at some point she'll understand that it needs to be finished. I'd rather read it when she's done with it and has gone back to rework the parts she thinks needed to be "fixed". I don't want to read these 200+ pages, then get the real book and have things be different. PLUS- she only posted it to keep us from reading it illegally. I think she would rather we didn't read it, and I'm going to respect that. I feel so bad for her! To have a good friend do that to you would be horrible!

Hey so what do you guys think of Robert Pattinson playing Edward? Is he what you expected? To be honest i always pictured him a little differently. And do you know if they will contiune to make the rest of the books into movies?
