Teased at School (For non Disney reasons)

The best thing to do is to just ignore them. Sometimes they will stop bothering you because sometimes they just want to provoke you.

I get teased because, well just because. Some of these guys at my school just out of nowhere shove, or push. And some of them tease me because I talk about Cirque Du Soleil. And some of those guys still say the five year old insult "Ha Ha", and sometimes kids shorter than me pick on me and I'm like six foot one (honestly!)

I don't get teased in school as much as I used to. If people aren't teasing me that i'm a disney fan, then they either tease me about the way I dress or the fact that i'm a Team Rocket fan. But nobody has really said much of anything. Well.....at least nothing that offended me in any way.

I never got teased in high school. Only time I got "teased" was in my senior year when one of my classmates was curious of my Boy Hits Car CD & pop'd it in his CD player. The teasing part was when he chuckled a bit when he heard one of the songs. That's about it. That's the only time anybody from school knows what bands I'm into(Boy Hits Car & Dead Can Dance).

Aww, I'm sorry that happens. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you picked get picked on for liking musical theatre especially because you're male. The sentiment is similar to how some so-called "masculine" men make fun of other men who are involved in dance, ballet, etc. Apparently you're not a "man" if you dig that type of activity and if you do like ballet and musicals you're either a female or homosexual.

Some people in this world just need to go away.

I would also like to point out what my mom told me today:

"You're grade is just going to end up like your sister. You are all going to relaize that you will never see each other again and you are going to be very close nearing the end of the year."

I still have no idea about "next year" because I still don't know if I'm going to be in the school next year or even finish this year off.

Just don't be discouraged by the ignorance & stupidity of others. Stupidity comes in many forms other than an F on a test. It's tough, but you must rise above it & hold yourself to a higher standard than they do.

the people you hang out with determines the person youre going to be when you grow up. thats my motto. so my friends are very kind, very smart people. dont worry about popular people or bullies. they'll probably be working for you in 20 years.

Wow. I get teased by everyone but my friends and a few other people who like the music I play. I just play for fun and because I love to do it. Actually it's about all I do.

I don't get teased for liking Disney since the "popular" girls started finding shirts with Mickey Mouse on them because they thought they were cute.

The only other things I get teased about are because of my favorite movies, the Indiana Jones series, Back to the Future series, Forrest Gump, and Mr. Holland's Opus.

I can only be so grateful for the environment at my school. I tend to take it for granted but life's full of that.

I attend a small Catholic high school with 500 students. You pretty much know almost everyone on the campus. There isn't such a thing as the popular crowd or the jocks since everyone hangs out with each other. Heck, even the cheerleaders happen to be emo girls! Half of the population holds an annual pass! But of course, small sizes do have the fact of prone to gossip and drama but those are easily resolved.

Last year, junior year, was probably the worse for me. The only reason I was picked on was because I kept to myself in a few periods where I was around less-than-rational boys. They even made me cry once. But as the year passed by, I was growing irritated that I let them walk over me. So I told them to shut up in class one day as they crooned my name as I explained an answer and was relieved to find the teacher defended me.

I haven't had that problem this year as more people are recognizing that being friends with these less-than-rational boys and as soon as one of them mentions my name, one of my bigger friends comes to my rescue. It's rather nice.

oh, man it was tough for me in fifth grade. almost all the boys would make fun of me because i am skinny. it lasted to the end of the year. my friend(who was also being tortured) went to the principal. the kids were almost suspended, but there reason was that they were just joking and that they were our friends. neither were true. we would tell them to stop and they would not. if they never stopped after telling them to for a year, how are they supossed to be my friends? now, in 8th grade, it is not that bad. although, i am still a target for being made fun of

I dont beleive thats completely true. I hang out with a bunch of Jocky Football players and I hated playing football and dont really like football.
