I think The Phantom Menace was the best. Because it was made like a real star wars film. AKA- Everything was CG like in 2 and 3. Plus the pod race is the coolest scene in any star wars.

I would have to say the orignal Star Wars - now called A New Hope.

Is it the most technically advanced of the series - not really
Is it the best of all the plots - debatable

But you had to be there and experience what Star Wars did for movies. It was such a huge blockbuster. It set all of America on the edge. Studios and movies were taken to a whole new level. Star Wars has to be one of, if not the, most influential movies of all time.

The sad part, most of you reading this thread probably were not alive when the movie originally came out.

A New Hope ranks toward the top, and would be number one, except for the fact that Empire Strikes Back was the first SW movie that I saw on the big screen, and therefore has stuck with me just a touch more.

And yes, I was alive for the original, RU. Just a little hard to remember much when you were 2 at the time!

For me, Return of the Jedi is the best for me. It is the first Star Wars movie I ever watched, and my favorite character from that film (which still is today) is Boba Fett!

I understand that alot of people do not like Revenge of the Sith, probably because it is the most tragic Star Wars episode (I mean, Sith win and all but two Jedi survive the whole thing!).

I like both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. My favorite character is Jango Fett.

All the movies have a great plot and they really work. The prequels just didn't have the same magic as the original trilogy. Some casting was also a little questionable for me. But I still love all the movies!

^How crowded was it for "A New Hope?" I bet it was just as crowded as "Revenge of the Sith."
