| Ok, this is the depressing thread of the day, but I need to vent. Hubby lost job a couple of weeks ago, so we can't afford bills and have to move in with my parents. This sucks because I will be 35 next week, and have hubby, 2 kids, 1 dog, and 3 cats to tag along. To top that off, Ma and Pa are moving to Bakersfield December 1st, so we have no choice but to go because we don't have any place to live. I will have to drop out of school here (right before I was to apply to the nursing program) and hope that all my credits are transferrable to Bakersfield. Kids are understandably upset because we have to sell all our furniture and uproot them. The good news? ......... We will be moving to within 2 hours of Disneyland, so when things straighten out financially, I will be RUNNING to the resort to purchase an annual passport, the first of my old life. So there is hope for the future, and I must keep on smiling and I know things will get better. Thanks to my family at VF for being there and being supportive of each other, and for letting me get this off my chest! Love to you all!!! ![]()

| You know what? I know what you are going through believe me! But you know, everything will pull through for you. Hard times are...well... hard, and we all make it through them. I was a nursing student too, and I actually had to drop out of that to get on something a little faster so I could get a job fast. But I hope everything clears up for you, and if you need someone you could PM me! Because I can definatly relate!

![]() | Listen sweetheart, it will work out. My wife and I had to live in my parents house for A YEAR while I was looking for work. God watches us, and he is good, ALL THE TIME. I have felt something like the stress and frustration that you feel. The good news is I guess is that Bakersfield is growing like crazy, and should have a good job market. I have a friend in Bakersfield and my wife and I have talked about moving there since real estate is so much more affordable... but this isn't about me. It's about you. We'll be praying for you, and your loved ones. |

| Hi Diznyfreak. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Read your signature...."No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true." Keep you chin up and KEEP ON BELIEVING! Remember, if you have things to pack, you're a lot better off than a lot of people in Louisiana! I'll keep you in my prays too. Keep dreaming about that AP and you'll have it before you know it!

| You know what? I think you're all going to be ok. Not to tell you something you don't already know but put a little of the furniture money away and make your kids, and rest of family, first Christmas in California a nice one. Nice doesn't always mean expensive either . Make it something special and close to your hearts and something special will come your way. You're in my prayers. And remember: "There's always tomorrow for dreams to come true. Tomorrow is not far away." Clarice to Rudolph. Thanks for the avatar praise lol. If you find you need more siggy room, feel free to delete it lol. I won't cry. Bye4now.

| I believe things happen for a reason......some good, some bad.......only God knows the plan, but when this hardship is over, you'll see why. (not trying to get religious here) But I have gone thru some hard times including moving my family into my parents garage........this was tough, but my hubby went back to school & became a paramedic. We moved so he could get a job & 7 years later (after fostering 18 children in our home) we are adopting a 4 yr old boy we've had most of his life!! So at the time I was living in the garage I asked why.....but now the picture is very clear!! I will keep your family in my prayers, but remember there's a reason for this & hopefully you will see the "silver lining" soon, God Bless!!

| | Greetings, You will obviously be O.K.. You have your goal ahead of you, straighten out the finances, & get the annual passport. One will be the achievement, the other, " the icing on the cake". We had to stay with my mom for sometime, it was a challenge. We made it through . Now our girls think back & ,actually at times, miss that situation ! Just kep thinking of that Annual Passport !! Best wishes !! cheers, Steve |
