Question Should Disneyland be in San Diego?

Hi guys, what do you think it would be like if disneyland were in
San Diego instead of Anaheim? Would it be more popular, have less visitors, etc? Let's see if we can get some answers.

Disneyland is the reason I like Anaheim. Since the Ducks aren't a real hockey team anyways.

I don't think it would've mattered where Disneyland was located. It will still be popular. Although, it would have been great if it was in San Diego since it'll be a few minutes away from me!

Location, Location, Location is of BIG importance (especially in building/locating a theme park)

Walt need cheap, flat land to build Disneyland and be close enough to a major road. Since he wanted to constantly keep an eye over his "revolutionary enterprise" it had to be a short ride to his Studios in Burbank.

Anaheim provided the ideal landscape for building his project with the very limited resources he had to work with (it was a huge financial gamble at that time). Very cheap land, flat land to allow more flexibility in landscaping it, and a brand new I-5 with easy access to Los Angeles. Its location in the LA area gave Disneyland a greater chance of being very succesful.

In San Diego (with a beautiful picturesque harbor) where's there's not much flat land and was more of medium sized, military town that didn't have great road transportation to the rest of the nation nor the easy access to the media outlets that helped Disney put together the TV shows that showcased Disneyland to a national audience.

I am glad it is where it is. One could also say it might not have done so wel had it not been there. San Diego would not have been a good place for it. I like SD, but DL just wouldn't fit in down there. Plus SD is a really big military town.

I actually don't like San Diego that much, so I'm happy where it is now. Besides, San Diego already has Sea World.

No.

That's like asking if Walt should have made Mickey Mouse a naked mole rat instead.
