Default Should Disneyland have an AP Entrance?

I was thinking, how many people think that Disneyland should have an Annual Passholder enterance for when regular lines are long?

Absolutely not. I've been to Magic Mtn. many times when the regular admission line has far greater capacity & thus moves very much faster than the minute-capacity season pass line. We're talking about 20 turnstiles to 2 here. Everyone in the same line means everyone gets in the park at the same rate, in theory. Now, if the APs could go into the AP line or the regular admission line, then we'd be in business.

Well, since I'm an AP, I think it's a nice idea. Sometimes I dread having to wait in a long line just to get into the park and wait in more long lines!

Although, if I wasn't an AP, I would definitely say no. Passholders think they should get the royal treatment. Just because you can go year round, doesn't make you all that special! Plus, you already get a ton of special things, so why keep asking for more?

What I meant was that it would be an additional line for just APs, no one else. But APs could go in normally too.

But you are paying about 6 times the money!

I know what you meant, and that exists at Magic Mtn. & I've seen some frustrating things come out of it. An AP exclusive line will only make for a longer line because of its greatly reduced capacity compared to the regular admission lines, assuming all APs could ONLY go through that one. Like I said, if the line was there but the APs weren't forced to use it, then we'd always have the chance to hit the shorter one. That'd be the ideal situation.

Well, yes, initially. But after only a few visits, the AP ends up paying for itself. Thus, someone who goes quite a few times a year but for some reason does not buy an AP would be the one paying more money.

I don't think that's necessary. Isn't there about an equal ratio of APs and non-APs at the DLR? So it seems like if they were forced to use that line, it would be extra long and slow. And if they could go into any line, it would be about the same length as any other line.

^ Exactly, but that being said, I do think they could have more of the entry turnstiles staffed at peak periods. I've been there on Saturdays at 7pm, and we had to choose the "shortest" of 4-6 lines. There are close to 30, I believe, total entry turnstiles.

an AP entry line? PMM is right, It Wouldn't save that much time and anyway an AP means You can Come Back Whenever your Able, and you don't have to Pay the rather steep price For a ticket, like the average Tourist who Can Only afford to go once A year or less frequently. I'll tell ya I enjoy my trips more knowing if I miss something I can hit It up next One. Takes all the Stress away, Ya know? Since I also go more often than the Average guest I also gain a Knowledge of the park that Makes my trips easier(gotta love Knowing Where All the bathrooms are... especially when visiting with children). Although a Ticket Booth For APers only would be Nice. Man, I hate Buying Tickets. I was In line for Half An hour this morning.

forget the main entrance APs should be allowed to use the same entrances as hotel guests. so for DL it would be monorail during certain seasons when they close it to just hotel guests, and the side entrance to DCA through grand california. since these lines are fairly small anyways and only hotel guests can use them why not let APs use them too? also we should be allowed to get on the monorail through the hotel guest line when inside the park also.

On a side note is there a way they could decrease lines to get your AP? i waited in a 3 hour line to get mine and that was wrong. especially for the fact that i waited 2 hours in the wrong place because all the cast members i talked to had no clue what was going on. so i waited a total of 5 hours for a piece of plastic. it is very sad that i pay to wait.

No! Disneyland should not have an AP entry.

I have a fifty-fifty split on this. On one hand, an AP-only line would probably equal the same as a regular ticket holder's line, so there would probably be no point. On the other hand, the AP line might move quicker because there would probably be no ticket confusions (where regular ticket holders have some trouble finding which parks their tickets belong to.
