Default POTC 2: Flying Dutchman Shots

So IGN managed to get some really incredible pictures of Davy Jones' ship, the Flying Dutchman. I gotta say, I thought the Black Pearl was intimidating.....this thing would scare the bejesus out of me if I saw it coming after my ship!

http://media.filmforce.ign.com/media...28/imgs_1.html

I'm not really excited about this latest installment of the Pirates films, but if the craftsmanship and creativity of this ship is found throughout the movie, I'm sold. My hat's off to the production crew on this....

Wow, it's certainly, um, detailed? Kinda like if someone chopped down the Tree of Life to build it & everything turned evil. Sheesh. I just hope they don't go too far into cartoonization here. They did it with MGM's Tower to make it look more intimidating & it takes away from it IMO...I hope I'm not left thinking the same thing here.

I think the ship will be surronded in fog, I can't remember. But condsidering the fact that this Davey Jones deals in souls I'm not surprised.

I saw those months ago. Check my gallery. hung out with the pirates from the movies. That is actually a barge. They built a 3 story boat on it and yes It leaks all over for that effect. The one guy in the picture with me on the left is the pilot of the Flying Dutchman. Also there are twins that are in the movie that play a 2 headed person. The ship really looks cool.

I am a hugh POTC fan (and I mean huge) so seeing pictures from POTC2 or learning more about the movie is like opening a great big present (I know, I sound corny)

I AM excited to see POTC II. Thanks for sharing these photos. Awesome ship! I'd read the rumor that the new pirate ship in the ride would be the Black Pearl, but I'd love to see this one!

I quite like it... very reminiscent of Dante's Inferno, Gustave Dore's engravings and Rodin's Gates of Hell sculpture. It's just about everything I could imagine for Davy Jones' ship.

Hey all, I couldn't find the official POTC2 thread, so I'm going to post this here. I don't know how long this trailer has been out, but I found it the other night and thought it was very good, and much longer than the other two I've seen. And the scenes! Incredible. Watch it here.

It's probably not one, but it looks kinda like one. Look at the fourth picture. At the bottom of the Flying Dutchman in the front, in the moss. It's close(ish) to a hidden Mickey...
