Lol, Duck Duck MOOSE!!!! And the S.P.E.W. thing. I loved it. Great update

Honestly, I hated the idea of them doing this, but now that I see it, I have to go there on my next trip.

I completely ignored TOM SAWYER Island when I was at DLR last month because of the new Pirate change, and went for Nemo Subs instead. But I seems very interesting.
I'll certainly like to visit the island when I next go.

As for the thousands of kids stomping on that bridge terrorfying the parents, I'm one of them. :P

Anyways, great update!

You got some great photos of the "island". Even though I dislike it's concept of recent times. Nice train shot from across the waters too. I absolutely love the waterfall shot. R.I.P. Fort Wilderness. You did get a wonderful shot of the front of that too. Thanks DaddyB for another beautiful update. I do love the font you used for your Update title. Very savy.

Ahh, it's wonderful. Only a week now until I can check it out myself. You've convinced me to be sure that a trip over to the island will definitely be in the cards for us.

Beautiful pictures and witty commentary, as usual. You've made my morning, Brett. :)

I was really hoping that the update would convince some people to check it out. It's not as bad as all the negative hype prior to it's opening. It really makes me feel better about them tearing down Fort Wilderness, just because if they did so well with what they had previously, what'll they do when they've got more space, a cleaner slate, and more time???

Definitely go check out the island and have some fun! Like much of Disneyland, if you go in with the mind and sense of wonder of a child, it's all the more fun!

Amazing as usual! I love the waterfall shot! I was skeptical when I first heard of the overhaul, but it does look like they did a great job. I will have to check it out next time I go. Thanks DaddyB!

P.S. Marine World Africa U.S.A. is no longer. They changed ithe name to: Discovery Kingdom (which is silly in my opinion)

Thanks again

Yes, I knew about Marine World... but when I lived up in San Jose, it was still Marine World... in fact Marine World was still in Redwood City for part of the time I lived there! ...but thanks for the word. I'm glad someone "gets me" (or in Disney speek, "Get Smee").

Really, "Nemo" is cool because it's an old ride that many people had given up hope of ever coming back and it's back with some decent "gee whiz" technology... but "Pirate's Lair" is actually the better deal in my book. It's got some cool "gee whiz" stuff, you get to run around and climb on things and manipulate stuff and it's in a nice roomy area with trees and birds and water and things around, you maybe run into Captain Jack, AND you don't have to wait 2 hours to board the vessel to get there.

If anyone asked me, I'd actually prefer "Pirate's Lair" to "Nemo".
