The city, in Italian is Torino. Here in the US we typically call it Turin. It is the same city.

The name of Turin comes from Tau, a Celtic word that means mountains. Its Italian name, Torino, translates as "little bull"; hence the coat of arms and the symbol of the city. The area was settled by the Taurini in pre-Roman times.

I'm liking the new Snowboard Cross event. It sort of reminds me of a roller coaster.

A Nation in shock! No Olympic medal for Canada's men's hockey! Thank God for the Canadian womens gold medal victory!

What happened????!!!! Shut out 3 times!!!!!! Shamefull. Every player, coach, and Gretzky needs to be off that team come 2010!

Gretzky said the reason he kept Sydney Crosby off the team was that Crosby would be a distraction... lol Then Gretzky becomes the biggest distraction of all. Good call Gretzky.

This is a National embarressment. and a sad day for Canadian hockey fans.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. This is Sasha's competition to win or lose. When she's on, she's unbeatable. When she's not, she falls. I really think this is her time to shine.

Well, the Olympics are over, and I'm now gonna have to wait for four years to watch more curling . I think I watched every USA match- both men's and women's! Curling is one of the most underrated olympic sports!

But anyway, did anyone watch the credits that they rolled after the closing ceremony and wrapup? The music played during the credits was from a movie soundtrack but I can't remember which movie and it's driving me absolutely NUTS! Help!

From what I could see, NBC switched between "Call of the Champions" and the 1984 Olympic Theme both by John Williams. I didn't see the ending credits, but I did notice it was either one or the other in their coverage.
