How sad, Michelle Kwon has left Torino.

Did you see the mens cross country. The 2002 gold medal winner fell at the beginning and left the staduim dead last out of 77 competitors. During the race he has fought his way back to 4th! Wow, that is incredible.

How about Shaun White? Man, halfpipe rocks!

Michelle Kwan, you will be missed. Sasha Cohen: it's your time to shine. If you don't fall, I truly believe you're unbeatable.

And the chocking of our downhill team and Anton in the speed skating. But watching Shaun was awesome. What an incredible run he had. What a great bounce back from a rough start.

some pretty nasty spills today. especially in luge and Alpine Skiing. that American girl (cant think of her name), had a pretty nasty fall and looked like she went unconcious. and in Alpine skiing, the only person from my neck of the woods in the olympics falls and ruins her knee in the trials. a pretty bad day for some certain olympians today

If we call it 'Torino' do we have to refer to the other cities as 'Milano' & 'Roma'?

I have never known something about the names. is it spelled torino in Italian, and we pronounce it Turin in English. I have heard both the names come up and I dont know which one is the real one. I assume its Torino cause thats the one that is in the olympic logo.

WOO mens ice hockey starts today!!! to bad it starts at 4 in the mornin.

^ Well they're both the real one in their own language. My name is 'Matt' in English and 'Mateo' in Espanol. So which is my real name? I was just observing that NBC & everyone is calling the city its name in its own language, which is unusual isn't it? I mean, in '98 the place was called 'Nogano' not (insert 'Nogano' in Japanese here). In 2004, the place was called 'Athens' not whatever its called in Greek. So I was just wondering why NBC is using the name 'Torino' and not Turin.

It is actually Nagano, not Nogano. And how we say it is how they say it. And I've always been told Torino, not Torin.

Honestly, the only time I hear it mentioned as "Torino" is on NBC. It seems like most other media outlets call it "Turin".
