In all seriousness, I am psyched. Bring on the games, all of them. I know what will be on in my house For the next two weeks! Although, a bit of sadness....this is the last year of Olympic softball....enjoy it while you can, folks....

WOW. That has to be the most spectacular, outstanding and just jaw dropping Olympic Opening I have ever seen. This is by far a very amazing show. I would have loved to have been there to see it in person. The scope of it's production is just insane. The amount of people they had choreographed at once was just brilliant. The technology put into it was intense. I tip my hat to them for a beautiful production and a very nice message from it as well.

The Opening Ceremonies where wonderful! I watched it with my parents while we were at Iggiy's. Yay for the big screen TV! Lets hope the games are just as good, smog or no smog.

I loved the opening! It was the mostest awesomest bestest thing I've ever seen! It was so great it can break the rules of grammar! I loved the part with performers under the boxes making waves and shapes and the best thing was their precision and accuracy, stopping and going at the exact times and making perfect circles without the aid of markers on the ground. Wonderful! And I loved the fireworks too, of course.

What I'm blown away at is the announcer's statement that Phelps "didn't need to swim as fast as he did during qualifying," that "it was unnecessary."
I'm sorry, does the guy have an internal clock that he can keep track of his time?!?!? Olympic swimming events have shown time and time again, nothing is a sure shot any more, that one little slip up can knock you out completely. I mean, come on......

The 4x100m relay was intense! USA beat France by .8 of a second. And France said that they would smash the USA! Apparently Not!
