I just finished watching "Amelie" which is also a French movie.
Delightful, too.

Another one of those movies that is older and happened to come up in conversation and made me want to watch it again.
A quick click at Netflix, and I had it a couple days later. Looking forward to getting "Drillbit Taylor" on Tuesday. Possibly even "Spiderwick Chronicles", which released last week.

DaddyB, in regards to all your comments involving my movies, yes, I kept commenting that a lot of them did have Cary Grant. "The Philadelphia Story" has him, too.

You have GOT to rent "High Society" which is "Philadelphia Story" turned into a musical with the songs written by American legend Cole Porter. Stars Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Grace Kelly AND Louis Armstrong! Grace Kelly's last movie. She literally finished filming and flew to Monaco to be married. "High Society", "It Takes A Thief" (also with Cary Grant!) and "Rear Window" (also with Jimmy Stewart) are three exceptionally fine films and show Grace Kelly off at her sexy, classy best.
As a matter of fact, we have "High Society" in the queue.

The four stars of "High Society" are just having a lot of fun with each other. You can tell they really enjoyed working with each other. My favorite 2 songs are "Who Wants To Be A Millionare?" (yes the inspiration for the game show) and "Did You ever?" with Bing and Frank. LOVE LOVE LOVE that movie!

And now, I have just seen "I Was a Male War Bride", another one with Cary Grant. And you're right, DaddyB, a lot of the movies do have Grant in them.

Just finished the "John Adams" HBO 3-Disc Mini Series. Pretty awesome. Learned a lot about the man and the time! Just in time for my trip to Washington D.C.!

I just finished watching Mission impossible the TV series. Its much better then the movies in my opinion. Its an older show, so its not really high tech, but its still a good watch, and its funny too.

You know just because its "High Tech" doesn't always make it a cool movie. Look at the first Mission Impossible like you pointed out... or the old James Bond movies. High Tech does not equal cooler or better. It really is about the stories not the method of showing them. Of course the method does enhance the story sometimes. All in all I agree ryguy... good movie thats not over done with special effects and high tech gizmo's.
