Greetings,
I don't know how low tech this is, however it's something that I've wanted to do for a couple of years. Using some wire & a sheet ( or similar ) , I want to make Zero. The next part requires some worK & a chimney. Using a TV antenna chimney strap, clamp a small motor to the chimney,...drop the power cord down into the house. The motor needes to be adjustable for speed. Now attach Zero to the motor (on an arm that's +/- 3 ft. long). Now you have Zero orbiting the chimney. As I have the remnants of a low voltage yard lighting system, I planned to clamp one of the wide beam lights to the rain gutter, and illuminate the moving Zero. If it's set correctly, Zero would "fly" in & out of the light beam. There's no reason that a variation of this could not be placed at ground level, & have Zero ( or whatever you wanted ) orbiting a tombstone. Have fun.
cheers,
Steve

I'm going to use two boomboxes to play continuous loops of the loading & foyer music from the haunted mansion.

And if anyone does anything interesting, pictures!

Phew. Done with it I think. Maybe a few tweaks here and there before halloween.

Clocks in at 41:41 (I wish that had some cool significance like 13:13 or whatever, but oh well ). 55.4 mb in MP3 form, the raw AIFF got up to 458.1 mb heh. Should get around 8 loops worth if it plays for 6 hours . The real challenge will be if Fantasmic Freak sets up lightning and thunderstorm effects timed to the soundtrack or other lighting cues. Cuz that'd be kinda neat.

I am so sorry, but I saw a couple of websites that had step by step instructions on recreating the Haunted Mansion in your own home. They explained the peppers ghost effect and everything. I didn't keep the URL or the site name because I was not interested in doing a haunted house. But I was searching for sites about Disneyland Resot Paris' Phantom Manor. Hope that helps a bit. If I can find it again I'll send it to you.

Wow forgot about this post! Anyway try: http://www.rjsoap.com/pepperghost.html
has a simple diogram made a little diorama using a Yoda action figure that appears and dissapears next to Luke Skywalker! all I needed was a shoebox and a piece of glass took me about half an hour to figure everything out so there ya go.
Hmm...wonder if this is considered bumping, oh well.

A few people have asked me, so if you're interested in it, you can email me at Almandot@aol.com and I'll give you a link. I'll also explain it a little, because it's not something you'd listen to just for fun I don't think. It's something FantasmicFreak asked me to make, within a few rules he set up, and so I made it for him heh. I'll put it up on wednesday or thursday.

note that I haven't mentioned what's in it... so if you're thinking of something or another and it's not that, don't be disappointed :P
