Default LeRoi Moore dies at 46.....

LeRoi Moore died at the age of 46 today from complications of his ATV accident in June.

This is a sad day indeed and my heart goes out to his family and to the band. He was such an influence to the band and helped make them who they are today. The world lost a magnificent and very talented musician.
I don't know who they will get to replace him but Jeff Coffin from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones has been filling in for LeRoi since the accident and will continue to do the rest of the summer tour.

The band went ahead and still played the Tuesday show at the Staples Center in LA with Dave saying,
"It's always easier to leave than be left," Matthews told the crowd, according to Ambrosia Healy, the band's publicist. "We appreciate you all being here."
Again, my heart goes out to the family and the band for their great loss.

This is just unbelievably sad. His poor family, and the band--this must be incredibly difficult for them to go on with their tour. Their music is so awesome, plus I hear they put on a great concert, too. Thanks for letting us know, Ex. It really is a sad day.

it was so heartbreaking to watch footage of Dave telling the Staples crowd that he had passed. His voice was so full of emotion. This is incredibly sad and my heart goes out to his family and friends "left behind".

Well no word as of yet on any postponements of shows due to LeRoi's passing. They have another show tonight at the Staple's Center. I give them big props for the strength to continue the shows. I would have fully understood a few days of memorial had they chosen to. I wonder what the show was like last night, like how the band did, how the crowd did and such. I am sure it was a very emotional night for them all.
