The scariest book I have ever read was the Exorcist. I read it right after the movie came out. First I went to see the movie and then read the book. I swear, I could not sleep! I was fine with the movie, but the book was freaking me out! I also read Mary Reilley, which was based on the movie (with Julie Roberts) about Dr. Jeckel's maid. That was pretty tense. Of course, Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevensen, was pretty good - although short. Makes a better movie, although the way the story is written is just wonderful. I like the movie version that has Spenser Tracy playing Dr. Jeckel. So, I just picked up Mary Shelley's Frankenstein at the library (I'm there right now) and absolutely will have to read that someday! It seems so easy to get into.

I actually like to read The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark around Halloween.

I generally don't go to horror as a fiction genre, but I was very impressed with...

I have a hard time with scary books because my imagination gets a little carried away and I won't sleep for days haha. However, I did read Dracula recently and it was pretty good! I would love to read all the classic monsters now....
