-First off, ALL the disney hotels are BOOKED. It's sad, but n e who, any suggestions on nearby hotels possibly walking distance? -we're used to staying at the Alpine Inn Hotel, and thats on Katella....just outta curiosity, is the entrance to the DLR on katella still open? I know it leads to a parking lot, and you can catch the tram there. -ok, then the CROWDS. Since all the hotels are booked up...it'll probably be crowded, huh? -THEN last but not least, it'll be my b-day on the 14th. yep. where do you get those RAD stickers that say, "It's my birthday! I'm turning __!" ya know what I mean? yeah those :) i'm thinking town hall on mainstreet? ok well if you can answer my questions kudos to you! thanks everyone! <3 Disneyfreak59 |

Ok, you can get the happy birthday stickers at city hall. When I went for my b-day this year, I told the lady at the ticket booth and she gave me a b-day sticker, so if you are buying tickets you might want to try that route.
I just recently stayed at the Ramada Maingate. It was nice. I felt safe there, and there was plenty of parking. The rooms were clean, and the rate was not bad. It's nothing to write home about, but it was not the worst place I have ever stayed at. I would stay there again. Also stayed at the Anabella, but thought it was a little too far to walk. My feet were killing me at the end of the night! It was a beautiful hotel though, and my friend got a great rate through hotwire. I would check expedia/travelocity/orbitz too. I just went in June and for July16-18 and it was not as bad as I anticipated. Just use fastpasses efficiently and it should be ok. Plus, since it sounds like you are going to be there for a few days, you can take more time to rest and cool off, and still get in all the rides that you want! Have a fantastic time! Celebrating a b-day at DL is so much fun! Everyone makes you feel so special! I hope you have a great birthday and trip!

I would try Candy Cane Inn, Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, or Carasel Inn & Suites.

I just stayed at the Anabella. It took me about 20 minutes to walk it if you went down disney way, and through the Grand Californian hotel into downtown disney, The walk is really nice, a lot of plants. It didn't seem that much longer to me than staying at like tropicana or something, and I lost 2 pounds! :)

im gettin there on the 15th and im stayin at the best western park place inn. ive stayed there once before and it was good, literally right across the street from the harbour entrance, basically the closest non disney hotel to the main entrance. it was a good rate and I reccomend it. It will probably be busy but it is gettin into late summer so crowds will die down but its also the 50th which will make it busier than past august's.
I dont think there is a katella entrance any more for cars, you might be able to walk to the tram spot from katella but cars i think have to go to the harbour entrance.

i'll be up there from the august 11-16, we are a family of 3, just me, my mom, and my dad...no budget really just anyplace that's nice and a good value.
as for the katella entrance, i belive you're able to walk in, but not in with a car. we usually just walk in and catch a tram from there. also have anotehr question! we're donna be flying in from the reno-int. airport, to the john wayne airport...i was wondering if there would be a disney shuttle or a hotel shuttel that would be able to take you to at least the DLR or to your hotel thanks again! |
