Default Harry Potter & Goblet Of Fire - Movie Reviews start on pg 3: SPOILERS

I hate to admit that I'm a Harry Potter fan at my age, but so it is. Something about the fantasy is just right.

I'm SO waiting for the next movie! The books from this next movie on out were SO much better... and not just because they were longer, too. That of course makes it more challenging for the director but from the stills I've seen, they're at least keeping the Quidditch World Cup (unless it's left on the cutting room floor).

The dv quality trailer for the movie can be found here. I saw it during "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" last night and downloaded it from my Tivo to my Sony Digital camcorder, and from there to my computer.

There's probably more they DON'T show in there than they DO show. But I'd prefer they kept it that way and left us in suspense for some of that stuff... like the dark mark and he-who-must-not-be-named.

I hope this new director gets away from the tone of the last director. Not all Chris Columbus or anything, but a little less dark. The story is dark enough.

Your thoughts?
Have you seen the coming attraction before?
whaddya' think?

What do they mean by "everything changes"?

I saw "Corpse Bride" yesterday and saw a much longer and detailed trailer. Looks like a lot of fun! My wife is a big HP fan (I'm into the movies, I just haven't gotten around to reading the books yet).

what is wrong with us old guys liking HP?
I have read all 6 books and I too can't wait for this next film.
the series has grown very dark, especially the last book!
I hope they can finish the films before the kids get too old
(can you imagine ron with white/grey in his beard by film 7?)

my daughter got me into reading these just before the 1st film came out.
now I have to fight her for who reads the new books first
(she won the last round, rats...) see you all in the theaters in november....

if you want a big screen trailer, apple's got them as usual
http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/har...egobletoffire/

I wish they started making more into the h.264 HD versions. If you have quicktime 7 and a fast enough processor, check out the brother's grimm h.264 trailer(i'm on a g4 15" and the 480p is more than good enough for an HD looking full screen that gets processed smoothly)

I like the harry potter movies but I'm starting to like them less as they go along. I think they've been drifting away from portraying the world of magic around them. It's just plowing through a plotline in the last movies when a lot of the pull to the series and enjoyment in the first and even second movie came from a livid environment of magic, not just a matter of fact bringing up magic whenever it's necessary.

I've always wanted to read the book, but like Jurassic Park, I'll see the movies, then go back to read the books and say "Aw man, I wish they would have put that in the movie!"

Either way, I'm not ashamed to admit I like Harry Potter. I also like cartoons and I enjoy watching Cartoon Network in my free time. I like many childish things...

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. :)

I'm a little iffy on the GOF movie. Sure, I'm excited. My friend is making us robes for the premiere as we type.

But what irks me is... the random Hermione leaping into Harry's arm shot. NOT CANON. NOT CANON! Now the Harmony shippers are gonna start all over again!

And while waiting for Corpse Bride, I shrieked out "HER GOWN IS SUPPOSED TO BE BLUE!" when they showed Hermione in her new wardrobe. Gaaargh!

Oh, and Lord Voldemort is in the trailer. You just have to keep your eye open.

I myself am A HUGE Harry Potter fan. I own al the books and have read them all several times. But I myself reserve all judgement untill after I see it. Although I didn't really like the other movies. And I havn't seen Corpse Bride although it looks good.
