Default The Final Episode of Six Feet Under

Hey, i know that the series ended a while ago, but I recently got way into it. I have comcast cable so i get HBO on demand and i have spent the last maybe 4 days or so watching the entire last season. what with Keith and David adopting 2 boys, the trials and tribulations of George and Ruth, the constant roller coaster that is Claire, Brenda's baby problems, and Nate's death, I have to say that this was a wonderful season (and that's saying something for a guy that has never seen an episode before) I was compelled into the drama and felt like i had known these characters all along. But let's talk about the finale.

The final episode is in one word magnificent. I loved this episode a lot. Although it was a little boring, I liked how most things were resolved. It was too bad that Rico ended on a sour note, but it was good to see Brenda's new baby girl healthy as well as David's anxieties erased. I loved the idea of Keith and David's family and i thought it brought not only a certain amount of depth to their characters but also a sense of reality. Anyways, my favorite part of the episode was the climactic and tear-jerking ending. Although i didn't cry, i felt like i could have if i really wanted to. The death montage was the perfect way to end, since almost every episode has began with a death. I expected that the final episode would either end or start with a family member's death, but i had no idea that it would be as powerful as it was.

It was really a sense of closure when they showed the deaths of all the main characters. It was touching to see Claire going through all those moments of death and happiness in her life.

Now some questions: What was Brenda doing before she died? I know she was talking to her brother, but her hand was doing something weird and it bothered me cuz i didn't know what she was doing.

I disliked David's death because it seemed cheesy and actually a little funny. Not the part about him seeing Keith, but the part of how he looked when he fell back.

I hated Keith's death. when i say that i mean i hated it cuz it was soooo sad. he was the only one who was murdered. what was he doing as a bank guard or whatever? That was a big tear-jerker.

I liked Ruth's death because she saw her husband and Nate and it was like she decided to join them in death.

Rico's death was bizarre and i didn't like that we didn't have a close-up of him. I mean all through the final episodes he raved on and on about how he was only 25% of the business and no one ever treated him right and what does he get? a far away shot of his death, like who cares?

I've got to say that the older Claire with blonde hair looked much better than she did with red. And although she looked really strange at her death, the old Claire was happy and i liked that. and the old eyes going into the young eyes was a very nice touch.

Well that's my spiel so I would like some comments from you fans out there who saw this marvelous series come to an end!
