Boy just imagine being on the top of the Sun Wheel, "agh agh agh!" I never have liked the Sun Wheel and I could just imagine being on there during the quake!

Then again, if you're in the orange or purple gondola, you probably won't even be able to tell it's a quake.

We had just gotten on Toy Story Midway Mania. We were playing the first game when the screen changed and all the targets went to 0 on the screen but the shooting was still working. Then it went blank and a recorded message on a speaker said they were having technical difficulties and to remain seated and a CM would come around to evacuate us. We didn't notice the earthquake; probably we were too intensely shooting. We are very competitive. In less than 5 minutes a CM released us and pointed to an exit. We still didn't know there was an earthquake until we were backstage and we asked a CM that happened to be passing by if we would get passes to skip the line when they reopened. He said that it was an earthquake and since they evacuated all the attractions, it wouldn't be practical to issue that many passes nor would they have the time. Then he showed us how to get back into the park. I looked across to the "Swinging Cages of Death," as my daughter calls it (you might know it as the sun wheel), and there were still people that hadn't been evacuated but they looked calm. I'm glad I wasn't on it with my daughter during the earthquake. Luckily we were staying at the DLH so we went back and swam for a few hours and when we returned all the attractions we saw were open again.

Maybe they're tourists, so they may not be used to earthquakes or maybe don't even know what earthquakes are.

Or they just don't care that it was an act of God, they just want their money back.

I agree these things happen I'm just glad it wasn't bigger than what it could of been, I mean I felt it here in Vegas but it was so small I thought I tripped on a rock or something

i was in summer school when the earthquake hit but i didnt think anything of it because i am used to earthquakes but i did instruct my fellow class mates to duck and cover at the first signs of the shaking which are the p wave or primary waves then there was one full s wave or surface wave then everything was over evacuated the classrooms for an hour then went on with the lesson. i was able to identify the type by the way the room shook it was a thrust fault in diamond bar. total shake time 30 seconds but it was FUN!

I was there with my family and we watching he Indiana Jones show where Aladdin's oasis is. Our chairs started to shake during the show, but everybody thought that it was part of the show. We found out once the rides were closed.

^ya the actors even played along- Indy said: "I could tell you were getting the clues worked out when I felt the ground shaking!" It totally coincided w/ one of the clues going into place so everyone was un-phased. As we were leaving I was looking at the ground thinking, "HOW did they do that???" and it took a LONG time before my dad would even believe that it was real and completely unassociated w/ the show. crazy weird and funny.

Even better yet, imagine being on Tower of Terror during an earthquake..... that would be crazy fun! -- and Crazy scary especially if you're being evacuated from it.
