Yes, so the 10.5 magnitude would be the same as a 3 magnitude.

Truthfully, the lower the magnitude you would think that it was more a relief as it could be way worse.

I'm from the eastern part of the United States but I was born in LA. In South Carolina, rarely earthquakes. Like this one time over 2 years ago, there was an earthquake in my town. But it wasn't your average earthquake. It was a very very small earthquake. I don't even know if it hit 0.5 on the scale. But I didn't know about it until the day after the earthquake at school. My English/history teacher told us that there was an earthquake. I was up during the earthquake, but I didn't feel it. But I have experience really big storms with tornadoes near the county I'm in and hurricanes.

As long as nobody was hurt and "The Happiest Place on Earth" is still standing, I guess there's nothing to worry about.

Good job CM's.

I am just glad that there weren't any major injuries or incidents anywhere. Are the aftershocks still goin on or have they subsided?

Now all we have to worry about is a large aftershock then we would be in trouble

I was watching the news and they had a clip of Judge Judy. The camera started shaking and Judge Judy got all freaked out and ducked under her stand. The jury left and the accused and defendant stood there all confused lol. Some guy on the news said the Astro Orbitor was making clanking noises and some other person said they had to hide under their table in the Golden Horseshoe. My cousins in Las Vegas had to duck under tables in a restaurant, it shook the strip too!

o i was working at the sunwheel this morning when the earthquake happened...i was walking through one of the gondolas and it just started to shake when i stepped out you could see the entire sunwheel swaying back and forth, stinger im pretty sure got e-stopped but i looked over and for some crazy reason zephyr was still running lol...but yeah we had to evacuate and all attractions went down until maintenance could do inspections...most attractions were up within the hour, but a few like screamin and tower of terror took a few hours to bring back up...but yeah everything is pretty much back to normal and ok =)

That must have been a huge earthquake. It's all over the news here on the East Coast as well.

yup this was scary
talk about a big inspection. I was working the Haunted Mansion at the time. when it first hit I was inside the building directing traffic. Then I had to evacuated everybody out of the nearest exit. God! some people where all pissed off because they were not able to ride the attraction. I then told them, "you rather want to risk your own life for The HM" (yes its a good ride and all but come on!) after I told them that they completely changed there mind about it. As soon as I got them all out of the building I had about 20 crying kids that I had to calm down. Because half of the parents where worry about them selves. Just say that I have a really great day yesterday. lol

Well, at least nothing was hurt (attractions OR people). I've read that Disney staff is great with efficiently evacuating people and the whole operation went seamlessly. I'm glad everything's okay. :)
