Default Disney On Stage

Like many of you, I am a huge fan of Disneyland's three shows to run in America: Beauty and the Beast (1994),

The Lion King (1998),

and Aida (2000).

I have seen all of them and they are all great! Here, we can discuss them as well as upcoming Disney Theatrical productions!

I too have seen all three of those shows. I'm waiting for Hunchback of Notre Dame to become an American Stage show, I'd go see Mary Poppins, and Tarzan seems like it would be good too.

I'd love to see some sort of Stage production on the life of Walt Disney! THAT would be the show to see!

The only one I've been able to see is The Lion King. I saw it twice, and absolutely loved it both times! I would love to take a trip to New York to see BatB, TLK, and Tarzan when it opens.

I'm excited for Aladdin, though. Word has it that the book is currently being written!

I think the huntchback or little mermaid, one of those would make a good show. But I'd prefer huntchback to be made.

March 24, 2006 is the opening of the previews. The show officially opens on May 10, 2006. Mary Poppins is coming to Broadway this october, and a little mermaid musical is in the works. personally, i think they should make a musical out of aladdin, hunchback, and every other animated musical.

Actually, Aladdin is reportedly in the works already, mentioned at the bottom of this article. (The promotional stuff he mentions can be found at playbill.com)

I was just listening to the Pocahontas soundtrack, and I was thinking that would make a cool musical.

Hey! Here's a video of Tarzan's opening night. (Note: this is no stupid advertising scam. This is purely for fan interest, not to showcase a website).
