As always, a beautiful update. I have to say again that I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets obsessed with the beautiful flowers around the park. That blue rose is gorgeous.
It's another 5 months at least until my next trip to the park (and the first time as a Mom!), so your updates are holding me over until then. You really have a way of capturing the hustle and bustle of the parks. I get the same warm feeling deep inside my heart settling in to read through one of your updates as I do when I sit and people watch in the parks - that little soaring right above your heart that tells you you're home. :) |

Hi, first-time poster, here. I just wanted to saw how much I enjoy your updates. Also, I really did like that one shot of the Matterhorn with the bridge and the waterfall, even with the "Sodium Orange sky". It reminded my of a cover of a fantasy fiction novel. Perhaps you might consider making that into a desktop later (maybe even for a donation)?

What a beautiful, poetic description! I have that same feeling when I'm in the parks. And I'm always a little embarassed that when I walk through the entrance for the first time on each visit, my eyes tear up and my throat tightens, and I just quietly absorb the pure pleasure of being there. Daddy B: Thank you for the update - spectacular, as usual - and hearty congratulations on getting a new job! As you should be able to tell from the numerous posts, your photos and commentary bring a lot of joy to many many people who can't visit the park as often as they would like.

I feel like I'm right there with you when I see your photos and read your commentary. It's all very vivid and, as far as I am concerned, yours are the best DL photo updates on the Web. You are the Grand Master of Disneyland photography.
BTW, I know you went through a rough patch recently, but I am very glad to hear that your world is spinning in greased grooves once again. No pressure, but I LIVE for your updates. |

OMG! I totally understand the issue with people and photographs...
It's an adage in tourism studies that there is nothing that tourists hate more than other tourists, and my girlfriend and I finally experienced those frustrations while taking a tour of several American National Parks. It started at Glacier in Montana, with people who just have to get in front of you as you're trying to take a picture. The more observant ones apologise as they blow past you, even though in noticing you they must have noticed your camera! The worst ones just apparently don't notice as they move in front of you and proceed to just stand there for torturous minutes on end. It hit me hard at the Grand Canyon when I was standing there, FILMING the sunset with my CAMCORDER and a guy stood right in front of me and raised his camera above the people in front of him... putting it right in the middle of my VIDEO shot. ARG!!! Anyways, yeah, sympathies ^_^ |
