Best Picture with the use of PURPLE

This will either be great, funny, or a complete dud. I had this idea pass through my mind and I thought what the heck, lets try it.

The photo must contain purple as a primary (not only) color. What do I mean by primary? The purple has to be obvious in the picture not some small sliver. Use your imagination.

Anything is fair: on ride, queue, cm's. buildings, characters, etc.

BE CREATIVE IS THE KEY. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE PICTURES JUDGED BOTH ON THE USAGE OF PURPLE AND CREATIVE USE OF PURPLE. Multiple postings of the same concept would show that that particular picture is not creative.

Any Disney Park is valid for these contests as long as it fits the theme.

Rules:

1. The photo can be from current or past
2. Photo's must be yours (you were the person behind the lens, framing the shot, pushing the shutter, etc), do not use other people's work or copyrighted photos. This means that if you are in the photo, then most likely it cannot be used in a contest unless you used a self timer.
3. You may only enter 1 photo into the contest
4. Picture MUST be in the Gallery. Please link a thumbnail or full size image to this thread.
5. Contest will run for 14 days with a 1 week voting period.

Contest begins now and submissions will be accepted for 2 weeks.

ALL PHOTOS MUST BE UPLOADED TO THE CONTEST GALLERY - NO EXCEPTIONS. Our voting will require the pictures to be in the Gallery. You should link a thumbnail or larger to this thread so we can see the picture.

The Gallery has a category called PHOTO CONTESTS. Within that category there is a sub category called PHOTO CONTEST #21. Here is a link to the gallery itself - just look for the current contest directory. Good Luck!

Oh man. I have been seeing sooo much purple lately because of the Rockies. I also can't help but think my avatar had something to do with the theme of this contest. I'll try to find a fitting picture for you.

Sounds like a fun idea for a photo contest Ru. I will try to look at my Disneyland photos and see if I can find any of them with the color purple.

I have been asked privately and I will respond openly - what happened to contest #20. Contest #20 got caught up in a system switchover which resulted in some problems with the voting - so, basically there was no declared winner for contest #20.

^^ Awww man...That was the only contest I had a chance of winning. Wait! That picture had purple in it...It's a possibility that you all have not seen the last of the Space Mountain meteor...

Here's my entry

When I read the description of this contest, I knew immediately which photo I wanted to submit. This one has always been a favorite of mine. I love trying to get good shots in the Tower of Terror queue, it's challenging to say the least. I did scroll through my Disney photo thumbnails looking for purple (just in case) and was surprised not to find much purple.

I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. The two photos already posted are beautiful! Good luck!

Isn't it interesting? I kept this contest in mind all day yesterday (at DL with my parents) and was very surprised at how little purple is used there. Great idea for a contest, RU42. I love anything that forces me to look closer!
