MEW, I really like the idea for a dream park. Although, one could argue that Disneyland itself is a park filled with peoples' dreams. Maybe a different backstory is in order.

And I definitely agree with you on "Godzilla Mickey" . Maybe the icon could be, like, a castle in the clouds.

An American park would sound interesting, Muppet City would be better off in a park with other lands, a teen-based Magic Kingdom would be a little tough next to a real Magic Kingdom, an old Disney-based amusement park, DisneySpace, a villain park, and Global Village are all great ideas. Maybe we can combine all of them into one massive park!

This is actually a pretty bad idea tell me what you think:

Disney's Kingdom of Dreams

This park would be based off the dreams of all those around the world, in the past, present, and future.

The first land you see when you enter the park would be American Harbor, a colonial village based off the early American dream, which would then be independence. Think, people in colonial garbs, early American food for sale, and stuff like that. The American flag waves proudly in the harbor as you enter, marked by only thirteen stars. At the end would be a harbor of ships and all that. Maybe the Hall of Presidents and some other stuff can be placed here.

The icon of the park could be (This is crummy) a giant statue of Mickey Mouse in his wizard gown, waving his wand. Mickey would stand in the middle of a giant fountain.

Mickey would tower over the central hub which would be structured like a combination of Disneyland and California Adventure. To the left would be two entrances to two different lands, Hollywood Studios and Muppet City.

Hollywood Studios would of course be dedicated to the dreams of filmmakers in the early and later years of cinema, including Walt Disney. Attractions here would be Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Great Movie Ride, Disney Animation, a condensed version of Monsters, Inc. The Musical from another thread I'm working on, the Walt Disney Story, and a couple of original attractions that we design later if this idea is liked by others.

Muppet City would be dedicated to the dreams of Jim Henson. The land would literally be alive, eyes, noses, and teeth on the buildings, breathing sewer lids, etc. I'm pretty sure the Great Muppet Movie Ride and Muppet*Vision 3D would go here with a few new attractions. A lot can be going on here.

To the right of Mickey would be a fork in the road, the right leading to Global Village, and the left leading to three other lands. Global Village would be dedicated to the dreams of earth in general. I'm assuming this would be a condensed version of World Showcase at EPCOT? We did this in Disneyland Australia, but maybe it's a small world without Disney characters in it can go here. I have nothing against Disney characters in small world, but in a land dedicated to the earth, it would be better off displaying world peace. But in can easily stay in Disneyland across the way.

To the left would be a trail running along the side of Global Village. Where one would enter a bug's land in California Adventure would be a new version of Future World, which would keep the title of Future World. Here there can be an Imagination Institute, a new Horizons (Look at the Tomorrowland a Refurb of the Future thread), a dark ride through time with some interactive elements, and some other stuff. With the title of Future World, maybe we'll have to change the name of Tomorrowland to Spaceland or something like that. But don't worry about that now.

Where one would find Carsland would be Mysterious Island, the central land of Tokyo DisneySea, volcano and all. This land would be dedicated to the dreams of science fiction authors such as Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. Here would be a motion simulator version of Timekeeper, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Submarine Voyage, a Mystery of the Nautilus walkthrough, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and some other stuff.

The last land would be Mickey's Seaside Carnival, an advanced version of Paradise Pier and the never-used concept of Circusland at Disneyland. Mickey's Fun Wheel, Toy Story Midway Mania, and an intense roller coaster themed to Crush from Finding Nemo. We could have a bunch of other attractions here as well, like Gepetto swing where he holds guests like marionettes, a water flume ride themed to old spookhouses (With an Oogie Boogie twist) of the old piers, very cheesy unlike the Haunted Mansion, with a climatic drop into the lagoon, only a few feet smaller than Splash Mountain's drop. A new version of Fantasmic! not seen anywhere else in the world would be held in the lagoon nightly, we can all work on that later.

The villain stuff can go over in the Magic Kingdom/Disneyland.

Gosh that was very crummy, but what do you think otherwise?

Although this is kind of early (Since we're not making attractions yet) I have an idea for an Enchanted dark ride I came up with in another thread. The ride starts out like the typical Fantasyland dark ride (Cheesy animatronics, flat sets) and turns into a full-out audio animatronic show in the big city. But enough of that for now, more later.
ok, first off: according to the Imagineers: There's no such thing as a bad idea. second: that's kinda what I meant for like a teen-based MK. well, not teen-based, but kinda modern and less fairy-tale based as compared to MK, where everything's very nostalgic.

how about naming this place Disney's Adventure City or something to the like?

and I think IASW should stay at the MK/Disneyland for this resort because I assume Global Village is realistic, whereas IASW is kinda unrealistic with caricatures of famous places, that smiling clock, and some of the puns on real life.

as for Mickey in the fountain, that's a good idea, but I'm not very sure it could fit with the first land. how about a mountain? I'm not sure. I just came up with this at the last minute.

I kinda like the idea of IASW in a different location than all the other ones. It gives it a unique perspective, much like the haunted mansions.

And, I was thinking, we're not really talking about these kind of dreams, but maybe a Nightmare land would find a place in this park. Then Mater could have their Villain land.

You can easily do a castle in the clouds for the park's icon. I want to keep the name of Tomorrowland and simply change Future World to the Imagination Institute. That way you can have this whole place themed to people trying to harness dreams and use them. After all dreams are a part of your imagination. We can use elements of Future World in Tomorrowland.

I don't care where it's a small world goes, Fantasyland or Global Village wherever.

I like the idea of a nightmare land in the second park. That way we have more room in Disneyland.

I would use Adventure City but that's the name of a theme park already in exsistence. Just down the road from Knott's Berry Farm is a little park with one rule. All grown-ups must have a kid with them or they're not allowed in. That place is called Adventure City, I used to go there all the time when I was a little kid.

So if we use the dream park the resort would have:

1. Disneyland Park
2. Disney's Kingdom of Dreams (Or Whatever We Use)
3. Downtown Disney
4. Disneyland Hotel

If we end up having a third theme park on the property, I'd rather we wait till we finish the first two parks, then things would really get confusing.

Ok so if everyone is happy with the second park, let's get started on what we should have in the indoor Downtown Disney. Thanks monkey for suggesting having it indoors, that's a great idea!

So I was thinking we have the usual:

1. Rainforest Cafe
2. House of Blues
3. ESPN Zone
4. A movie theater
5. Wonderful World of Disney Store
6. Around the Clock Cafe
7. Build a Bear Workshop
8. The Lego Store

We can have a whole bunch of other stuff here too, any other ideas?

Since the place is indoors we can almost make a shopping mall of sorts.

I'm down with those ideas. What about a Goofy's Candy Co. in Downtown? Or, even better, I heard someone talking about a tour of the factory in Toontown in a different thread. I like that idea.

Figment and Fantasmic could easily fit into the Imagination! section. Also, maybe a Phineas and Ferb-themed attraction.

I actually think that the kingdom of dreams is not a good choice. It's true, the lands seem great individually, but it just seems to me that this is a park that is simply a combination of lands with no reason of why or what they are. Sorry if it was harsh, It didnt mean to hurt anyone.

We want to do a park with a TOT TSM Villian land and muppets. I was thinking for myself what do the four have in common? Well:
TOT- is twilight zone- a dimension of surializm.
TSM- toys, a dimension where toys are people.
Villian land- evil, A dark dimension, Shadow dimension.
Muppets- Again dimension of the muppets world.
DO you see where this is going?

I think that we can do a park named: DISNEY DIMENSION.

It will be themed to different dimension, alternate realities. each land will be a different dimension. the park can surely include:
-The twilight zone: With TOT and original consepts (I've always wanted to make the twilight zone an entire land- it seems so cool!), it will not neceserally be a scary land, but an abstract land will be something new and special inspired by surializm "(melting clocks strange things, new fizics etc).
-Toyland (temporary name): Will include TSM, maybe bazz, and other toy story based attractions
-Muppet dimension: (temporary name): With all your ideas for muppets (i really dont know them that much).
-Shadow plane: The villian land.

Also this park can hold a lot of other dimensions: I was thinking of:
-A dimension about the old disney clips: I mean a dimension of black and white with all the favorite old toons like steamboat willie etc.
-A digital dimension: A dimension where everything is digital, imagine being inside the computer.
-Genesis dimension: A dimension where man has not been created and nature rules all like in the days before life- volcanos, hugh rainforest- endless oppertunities.
-Majesty dimension: A Dimesniosn where legends are true- Dracula, lepricons, unirorns (Ectually some sort of beastly kingdom more themed to men than from animals).
And many more.

What do you think?

I like the lands, especially the Twilight Zone. We could have the Museum of the Weird there. And the digital dimension could have some Tron.

I still think both ideas as a whole are a little flimsy, though. Not to sound too harsh either, but in my opinion we still need a solid foundation for these lands and attractions.

Tell you what, let's just worry about the second park when the time comes around. Let's get started on Disneyland before we worry about anything else.

^agreed.

so, we're using Main Street, correct? cause if so, we should probably have PhilharMagic or Mickey Mouse Revue in the opera house. oh and, borrowing a page from DisneySea, we should have a functional hotel within Main Street and give the guests staying there extra hours for certain rides.

/\ Agreed, whenever I work on Main Street I hiss in disgust, there's nothing new you can really do with it. I'm going to start work on Adventureland so anyone who wants to join me can if they want. Or they can continue work on Main Street, it's your call. :)

I will join you working on Adventureland.

What will it be themed to? I was thinking maybe instead of the well known Arabian\jungle theme maybe we can do it one solid land with one theme. (It was always weird to me that adventureland holds two themes with no connection what-so-ever), IT can be a real "adventure" land if it will be themed to a lost jungle island. It will be a great place for pirates, jungle attractions (like jungle cruise), ancient temples (like indy attraction), Movies that take place in jungles and there are a lot: Pocahontas, jungle book, lion king, emperors new groove, etc.

Yeah I like that, let's go with a lost jungle island theme for Adventureland. The architecture can be like crumbling stone buildings and all that. We can have an Indiana Jones Adventure, a Pirates of the Caribbean, and other things there too.

I'll start working on Pirates as soon as possible. It won't have that climatic drop that everyone said the Hong Kong Disneyland Pirates would have. It will have several drops, but nothing like Splash Mountain's big one. I'll post a rough outline of the attraction when time permits. I'm filming a Lego movie with my friend today so I'll be on and off.

What else? We can probably have a Jungle Cruise of sorts (With NO references to Disney movies), and some other stuff.

For Indiana Jones we can have the theme be Indiana Jones exploring an ancient temple on a forgotten island in the Caribbean. Hundreds of years before him pirates tried to sack the temple of its riches, only to be killed by its deity. Now Indy is trying to get to where the pirates never got, which would be where the temple's big treasure is. I don't know, it's just a thought that slipped my mind.

P.S. Pocahontas takes place in the woods of Virginia.

I like the idea.

I havw several ideas for attractions, tell me which of them are okay so i can start working on them.

The attraction ideas:
-A darker version of jungle cruise- meaning, you are attacked by aligators, you get into a very dark cave filled with bats, the natives are shooting arrows at you etc, ectually a more exciting jungle cruise.
-A version of the hunted mansion themed to a "woodo" sorcerrer and his haunted house.
-Tarzan's vine swing: a hanged roller coaster themed to the movie.
-Dark ride themed to the lion king (an e-ticket ride with stops, fast scenes etc, not the regular fantasyland dark ride).
- A sing along street show with Baloo and friends.
-A version of journey into the center of the earth (different thanTDS), if we are to put a jules verne land so it fits more there but if not it can go into adventureland.

That's what i have right now... which (if any) of those can go into the park?
