Talking Undetermined Disneyland, Open Brainstorming

Like almost every other open brainstorming thread out there, you probably get the point of this thread. Only this park has an undetermined location, which means it will go somewhere on earth, we just don't know where. I hope this thread will be an oppurtunity for all you Imagineers out there on VF. I really want to draw in a great crowd for this thread. I don't know why but I feel as if this thread is going to bring out some good things. A great resort will be born I can sense it.

So let's get started with the resort itself, what should we have there?

Don't be shy, come and join the fun everyone! Trust me you will not regret posting in a thread of this sort. You will have the time of your life, and you will be happy to share all your ideas with the world.

:)

Alright, let's get this goin'!

The resort should have a Magic Kingdom park (of course) and at least one more. Maybe also an indoor version of Downtown Disney

Finally, an open brainstorming that i see in the beginning, I join!!!!

I think that we should put in some original ideas for parks ( i mean plus the regular magic kingdom).

Maybe (it will seem strange) get rid of tommorowland and build a second park that will combine Tomorrowland, ecpot futureworld, The star wars concept, and some other future\space\science things.

If you seee what I mean it can be an entire park about future and science and imagination, it can be called Dinsneyspace maybe... what do you think?

Edit: just a tip: if the thread will indeed get larger I will consider opening another one called: Undetermined disney Resort. This thread will have the final rides that we had in the brainstorming, it will say what work is done and what needs to be done, basically it will have a current review off the brainstorming situation and of the resort so we will not get lost like in your Australia thread and the readers will understand the park that we are building.

Lots of ideas already!

Well of course we can have a Disneyland/Magic Kingdom park in the resort. I also like the idea of an indoors Downtown Disney/Disney Village. I would call it Disney City but that would be way too similar to Universal City Walk. Maybe we just continue to call it Downtown Disney or something. I do want Little Museum of Horrors to go somewhere in the resort. Maybe we should do an Avenue Q ride as well. (Just kidding about that one, it wouldn't work unless we rid of the adult themes and somehow mixed them with the Muppets)

As for the DisneySpace park, it's a great idea, but I'm not sure if we should take Tomorrowland out of the magic kingdom. When we get more members to work on this thread, maybe we can take a vote. And if in the end we keep Tomorrowland, we can put in as much future world and Star Wars stuff one can imagine. You know Horizons and Star Tours side by side, etc. Great to see you joining in on the fun ROMANARMS! Same for monkey and Mater!

Well we can definitely have a villain land in the Disneyland park, we should think of an original concept for it. Back in Disneyland Australia we came up with a place called Chernabog Square, a ruined Bavarian village under the shadow of Bald Mountain and the Haunted Castle (The Haunted Mansion). Other stuff included VillainFest, a 4D show, Jack Skellington's HalloweenTown Adventure, Bald Mountain, and the Disney Villain Night Club. Maybe we can come up with like a scary version of Las Vegas. You know, Oogie Boogie waving his thumb instead of the giant cowboy, Jafar replacing the Aladdin hotel, etc. We can think more of a villain land when we actually start working on the park.

As for the Global Village, I love parks themed to the world, but when you think of it, Disneyland already has architecture themed to the world. Fantasyland is to Europe, Frontierland is to old America, Adventureland is to Morocco and the Caribbean, Main Street is to the midwest. Well I guess that shouldn't count as a the world what-so-ever. Nevermind, a global park would make more sense than counting Disneyland a global park.

Maybe we can come up with a new idea for a park. I'm not saying the other ideas aren't any good or anything (Trust me they're all great) but with minds like ours' we can totally come up with an original concept for an original park. It might be best if we wait for a few new members to see what we should do. We can easily bring up something out of our minds and work on it together. In other words a park that can hold Tower of Terror and Toy Story Midway Mania that isn't themed to Hollywood, California, or the Seas.

Undetermined Disneyland Resort

1. Disneyland Park
2. ************
3. Downtown Disney

I always thought it would be interesting to have an old-fashioned amusement park as a land or section of a park, and theme it to old Mickey Mouse cartoons and such. You could put Midway Mania and a version of ToT there. Actually, that kinda sounds like the new Paradise Pier, now that I think about it.

And I think that old amusement parks were one of the reasons that Walt Disney wanted to build Disneyland... Maybe it's not as great of an idea as I originally thought.

Nice ideas!

MEW:Avenu q indeed cant get into the park but I can totally see an Avenu Q themed restaurant in the new downtown... it can also host the songs from the play, and like character dining experience the waitors can be puppet masters, with the puppets such as Nikki, Rod, And more. And downtown disney is really more adult place so it will have no problem ( although maybe the sex monster shouldnt be there... he is too much).

Will you guys use my second thread idea?

^If that Avenue Q restaurant, is included, it might need an age restriction. It won't be new; Downtown Disney has had age restrictions. On a different note of that topic, it could be Around the Clock Cafe from the show :)

The Around the Clock Cafe would be perfect for Downtown Disney. You must be at least 18 to get in though.

We should do another thread for all the final projects like ROMANARMS said.

I want to join! Maybe we can wait for the theme of the second park once we throw around some ideas that are good enough to form a second park. we just have to include Muppet Vision 3D and Fantasmic in one of the parks. and yeah, we should keep Tomorrowland in.

ooohhh! maybe a theme park dedicated to Muppets (just the Muppet group, not every Muppet Puppet as in Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock.)? called Muppet City.

oh wait, we have to fit in ToT and TSM. hmmm... how about more of a teen-friendly MK for a second park?

For the second park, perhaps an American theme. Lands could be dedicated to different cities and time periods allowing for Tower, Midway, and Museum.

well, Midway actually has no relation to old American times though. But then again, who said we couldn't do a third park? well, whatever our plan is, I call dibs for a Muppet Place!

^By time periods, I meant from colonial to modern, so Midway could be in a 90's area (like LMOH would be in a 60's area)

Hmm this is very confusing just to build a second park. An American park would sound interesting, Muppet City would be better off in a park with other lands, a teen-based Magic Kingdom would be a little tough next to a real Magic Kingdom, an old Disney-based amusement park, DisneySpace, a villain park, and Global Village are all great ideas. Maybe we can combine all of them into one massive park!

This is actually a pretty bad idea tell me what you think:

Disney's Kingdom of Dreams

This park would be based off the dreams of all those around the world, in the past, present, and future.

The first land you see when you enter the park would be American Harbor, a colonial village based off the early American dream, which would then be independence. Think, people in colonial garbs, early American food for sale, and stuff like that. The American flag waves proudly in the harbor as you enter, marked by only thirteen stars. At the end would be a harbor of ships and all that. Maybe the Hall of Presidents and some other stuff can be placed here.

The icon of the park could be (This is crummy) a giant statue of Mickey Mouse in his wizard gown, waving his wand. Mickey would stand in the middle of a giant fountain.

Mickey would tower over the central hub which would be structured like a combination of Disneyland and California Adventure. To the left would be two entrances to two different lands, Hollywood Studios and Muppet City.

Hollywood Studios would of course be dedicated to the dreams of filmmakers in the early and later years of cinema, including Walt Disney. Attractions here would be Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, the Great Movie Ride, Disney Animation, a condensed version of Monsters, Inc. The Musical from another thread I'm working on, the Walt Disney Story, and a couple of original attractions that we design later if this idea is liked by others.

Muppet City would be dedicated to the dreams of Jim Henson. The land would literally be alive, eyes, noses, and teeth on the buildings, breathing sewer lids, etc. I'm pretty sure the Great Muppet Movie Ride and Muppet*Vision 3D would go here with a few new attractions. A lot can be going on here.

To the right of Mickey would be a fork in the road, the right leading to Global Village, and the left leading to three other lands. Global Village would be dedicated to the dreams of earth in general. I'm assuming this would be a condensed version of World Showcase at EPCOT? We did this in Disneyland Australia, but maybe it's a small world without Disney characters in it can go here. I have nothing against Disney characters in small world, but in a land dedicated to the earth, it would be better off displaying world peace. But in can easily stay in Disneyland across the way.

To the left would be a trail running along the side of Global Village. Where one would enter a bug's land in California Adventure would be a new version of Future World, which would keep the title of Future World. Here there can be an Imagination Institute, a new Horizons (Look at the Tomorrowland a Refurb of the Future thread), a dark ride through time with some interactive elements, and some other stuff. With the title of Future World, maybe we'll have to change the name of Tomorrowland to Spaceland or something like that. But don't worry about that now.

Where one would find Carsland would be Mysterious Island, the central land of Tokyo DisneySea, volcano and all. This land would be dedicated to the dreams of science fiction authors such as Jules Verne and H.G. Wells. Here would be a motion simulator version of Timekeeper, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Submarine Voyage, a Mystery of the Nautilus walkthrough, Journey to the Center of the Earth, and some other stuff.

The last land would be Mickey's Seaside Carnival, an advanced version of Paradise Pier and the never-used concept of Circusland at Disneyland. Mickey's Fun Wheel, Toy Story Midway Mania, and an intense roller coaster themed to Crush from Finding Nemo. We could have a bunch of other attractions here as well, like Gepetto swing where he holds guests like marionettes, a water flume ride themed to old spookhouses (With an Oogie Boogie twist) of the old piers, very cheesy unlike the Haunted Mansion, with a climatic drop into the lagoon, only a few feet smaller than Splash Mountain's drop. A new version of Fantasmic! not seen anywhere else in the world would be held in the lagoon nightly, we can all work on that later.

The villain stuff can go over in the Magic Kingdom/Disneyland.

Gosh that was very crummy, but what do you think otherwise?

Although this is kind of early (Since we're not making attractions yet) I have an idea for an Enchanted dark ride I came up with in another thread. The ride starts out like the typical Fantasyland dark ride (Cheesy animatronics, flat sets) and turns into a full-out audio animatronic show in the big city. But enough of that for now, more later.
