Exclamation The Ultimate Open Brainstorming Thread

Its been a year now since I created one of the first Open Brainstorming threads and now this whole forum is filled with different Open Brainstorming threads, including Disneyland Australia, Disneyland Germany, Magic Kingdom Refurbishment, Disneyland Guam, and the New Disney Resort. And quite frankly I think its time we bring together all the Imagineers of this site and make the single-greatest Open Brainstorming thread on the net. With all of our ideas we can make the greatest Disney Resort ever conceived, one that can top all the others out there and just be so unique and amazing.

I think that with all of our creative minds and forces we can put together something so great that we will look back on it one day and say, "Wow that was incredible."

So I would really appreciate if whoever reads this would please join and participate because this really is going to be the best, sorry one of the bests, and you will not regret coming in to do this. Now you don't have to join if you don't want to but I would love to get help from Disneyland DHI, Big Disney Fan, monkey4057, Jphelps, ROMANARMS, disneyman88, TrevorA, MaterA113, gurugriff100, KingMickey, alyx92, and pretty much every other Imagineer that I can. Now forgive me if I forgot to mention any of you but there are a lot of us on here and it can get confusing sometimes. But anyhow I would really love it if we all got together and made one awesome thread.

Now for the past month or so I have to say this forum has been pretty empty. No offense to anybody or anything, but usually when you post something here you get a reply about five minutes later, but you don't get one until about an hour later or so. So let's revive the Open Brainstorming threads and make them better than ever, starting with this and going on to who knows where! This will be the Ultimate Open Brainstorming Thread and this will be the first step into a new direction for this forum. So who is with me, who wants to change the future?

Honestly no offense or hard feelings towards other creators of Open Brainstorming threads. I love all of them the same I'm just trying to do something different with a new Open Brainstorming thread. Again no offense or hard feeling towards anyone or anything. I always feel bad when I make threads like this for some reason.

Anyhow I'm going to start this thread like I started Disneyland Australia. I'm going to post what ideas I have so far, and then the project will evolve into something huge and incredible.

So these are my ideas so far for the Disneyland-style park.

1. I think Main Street should resemble the one at Disneyland, only made a bit larger like the one in Tokyo. That means we will have to find a good location for the park to be crowded like it is in Tokyo and California.

2. I also think we should go with the reverse format for the park like we have done with so many other Open Brainstorming threads. It's just because it feels so comfortable having Adventureland to the east and Tomorrowland to the west, so yeah...

3. For the castle I am stumped. I'm thinking we do Snow White but I'm unsure. I feel good about it, but then I don't feel good about it. Either way it should hold a Bavarian village or a village like the one seen in the Little Mermaid around Eric's castle.

I'm hoping to feel as comfortable with this as I do with other threads so please feel free to come in and just start pouring out ideas. I don't care what they are because that's what a thread like this is for. We post and suggest our ideas, then other people comment on them and give their own constructive criticisim. I really want this thread to be more successful then some of my past threads so please come in and help. You don't even have to tell me you're signing up, just come in with an idea and we'll start working right away.

Let's do this thing!

Ok so let's start coming up with some more ideas. I think that we should divide Tomorrowland into two parts. One would be Sci-fi City, and the other would be Future World. That way we can have futuristic attractions based more on fact in Future World, and more alien-orientated attractions like Buzz in Sci-fi City.

Who else wants to join?

Great idea similar to my Tomorrowland overhaul which divides regular Tomorrowland with a Jules Vernes land. I love it.

Hmm... So in the Sci-Fi City it would be like aliens landed on the future world?

Well I was thinking Sci-fi City would kind of be like a spaceport with flying saucers and robots and all that. Here is where you would find Buzz and Star Tours and all those more fantasy-based adventures. Then Future World is where you would find future based attractions like I don't know, say Adventure Thru Inner Space and the House of the Future?

Ok, thanks for joining!

Ok so I guess we'll start working on it like we did with DLA. We just started posting ideas and then they would come together and we'd construct and critique on them.

So for Fantasyland I was thinking we give it the sort of storybook look like the one in Disneyland. But instead of the Bavarian-Alpine village thing I was thinking we go with the look of the village seen in the Little Mermaid. Unfortunately I can't find any pictures but it is basically just a nice little village with bright-colored buildings, shackles, wooden beams, and a bunch of other stuff like that. For attractions we could have:

1. Snow White's Scary Adventures
2. Pinocchio Ride
3. Peter Pan's Flight
4. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
5. it's a small world

And pretty much whatever else we can come up with. I was thinking we should put in some original dark rides not seen at other parks alongside the classics like Peter Pan and Snow White.

Well, obviously, the teacups, carousel and Dumbo are all musts, as is PhilharMagic.

I know where not talking about it right now but I think we should make Haunted Mansion the scariest one yet by far.

Where would we put that one, though?

I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to decline the invitation, MEW. Nothing personal, but it sounds like too many clones already....

If anything changes, I'll be back.

Well we've just started and usually when we start a thread like this we throw in some of the classic clones to give our park a shape. Then from there we add in changes to them and add in original attractions and whatnot. But do whatever you want I am fine with it.

Anyhow I was thinking about a Sleepy Hollow ride for Fantasyland.

For the Haunted Mansion I don't know where to put it. Not Adventureland or Tomorrowland. I kind of want to steer away from Main Street too. And then Frontierland and Fantasyland have already been used in other parks. Maybe we can create a land especially for the mansion.

Now if we make this the scariest mansion yet I think we should keep the graveyard jamboree and the hitchhiking ghosts. Probably the ballroom as well. But we can work on that whenever.

okay, thanks for the invite, MEW! for the castle, we could do a Sleeping Beauty clone from HKDL and DL, and then have the features of Paris. like have the dungeon with the dragon, then have that familiar Diseyland castle
