In the window into the magic podcast there is a video of a presentation by Tony Baxter at this years Maker Fair. It is realy interesting and informative. It also has very cool pictures and concept art.

I tried looking for a youtube link to give to you guys but could not find it,
I downladed the video on Itunes.

No, it's mostly on what it takes to be an imagineer and a little bit about how he became one. Talks about story development, free enterprise, and inovation.

Its a podcast that millions of Disney Fans listen to. Hes smart enough not to release anything about the resort that could start rumors, or even tempt insiders to release info to sites. Hes a very smart man when it comes to whats released and whats not.

I tought that this would be a great video for everyone at "So you want to be an imagineer?" it reveals what imagineerings views are on design, asthetics, story telling, free interprise. Mostly what kind of mentality it takes (they are looking for) to work with them.

I wouldnt say a little luck, the only way you are getting into that is Internship, or know someone that will get you in. A friend of my boyfriends, is getting in through knowing some people in there already.

I have two profesors that worked on DCA's original Landscaping, one of which is on board for the expansion also. I know that's not directly WED, but I wonder if it would help. I've been wanting to talk to her about the current project, but haven't had the chance.

I like the part in the video where Tony is talking about his schooling.
He mentions that he attended and Architecture program, a Landscape Arch. program,
and setteld with theater design. I've done the first two mybe I should go in to theater
then I'll have a chance.
Unlike him I like Arch and LArch. it's so much fun. Hard work, but fun.

For one its WDI, WED hasnt been used in years. Two, if they are working on the makeover, then they work for WDI, or one of WDIs subsideries.

Its not what you are capable of doing that gets you in, its how you use it that counts. You have to be innovative in everything. You have to use things in ways you never would have thought of before. You have to use storytelling to is utmost advantage.

My background is Theatrical Lighting Design, Environmental Lighting Design, and Landscape Lighting Design. I also have knowledge in Stage Pyrotechnics, and Special Effects. Does that mean I have a great chance of getting in, no not at all, but it could help.

Tony is good at what he does, because he uses everything to his advantage. Takes into account of detail and aspect of the plan.
