Hello and welcome to the third project of the ?So, you want to be an Imagineer?? Competition here on Visions Fantastic!
So far we have seen projects based on restaurants and C/D ticket attractions. After this project, we will be saying goodbye to somebody.
Could it be you? It all depends on how you choose to answer that daring question?

?So, you want to be an Imagineer??




Your mission for Project Three:
This week?s project is going to be designed for nighttime crowds and for the people looking to take a break from the theme/water parks. Your goal for this project is to create an expansion (not refurbishment) to either Disneyland?s Downtown Disney, Walt Disney World?s Downtown Disney or Disneyland Paris? Disney Village.
We are looking for you to expand one of these Shopping/Entertainment Districts. You can either create an entirely new themed area to the district or you can expand off of a current area (ex. Marketplace at WDW).
If expanding off of a current area?s theme?please keep the theme connected and tied-in to this area?s theme. You can not change the area?s current theme to match your new theme.
If creating a newly themed area?please make sure it does connect (meaning by boat, walkway, tram?) to the rest of Downtown Disney. Do not have it be located too far away as to where it would be a hassle to reach. Make sure though it still has the overall theme/atmosphere of the rest of Downtown Disney.

*Your expansion must have at least two original dining establishments. Please include at least one menu from one of your new restaurants as well as a brief overview of the place.
*Your expansion must include at least two original shopping locations. Please give a brief explanation of the shops.
*Your expansion must include a new entertainment venue, whether it?s a street show or a stage show.


Remember to make it fun as well as to keep the overall theme in mind. Please be as original as possible!
Also, make sure it is realistic. Both Downtown Disney locations and Disney Village do pack in the people at times. Don?t forget about the details!

Your points?what do they mean?
This is where the points mean everything. After the third project is turned in, the person who has the most total points from both projects two and three added together will be named the ?winner? of round one (projects 1-3). The top three contestants will have immunity for the next project, Project 3B. While the top three are encouraged to still participate?they do not have to. It?s the bottom two that will be required to turn in a project. The total that they receive from that project alone will decide who will be leaving the competition.

I'm going to go ahead and drop out of judging for this project only and just let DPF's scores determine who was eliminated. I'd like to judge but it's just so confusing, now I have the email account but all the projects are Word attachments I can't open, so I'll just let DPF be call this one and be back to judge #3

this new competition has a lot of limitations and restrictions but nevertheless, i think its good because whoever can come up with something great demonstrats that they can think of a lot with little given
