Default So, you want to be an Imagineer? Competition

Hello and welcome to the fourth project of the ‘So, you want to be an Imagineer?’ Competition here on the fabulous Visions Fantastic website! This time, at the end of this project…we will be losing one of our contestants.
Before we get underway, I wish all contestants good luck as we ask that daring question…

“So, you want to be an Imagineer?”

Your mission for Project Four:
It’s one of the top projects of the competition, one that I’m sure you have all been waiting for! Its time to pull out all the stops because this time you will be creating your very own, brand new E-ticket attraction!
Your new E-ticket attraction is to be an original idea…not a refurbishment or a copy of another attraction from a different Disney Theme Park.
Your theme parks of choice are…ALL OF THEM! You can choose to place your attraction in any Disney Theme Park Worldwide.

Location: 10/10
Theming: 20/20
Creativity: 20/20
Realism: 20/20
Queue/Exit Walkways: 10/10
Pre-Show or Pre-Video: 10/10
Detail in Presentation: 10/10

Total: 100/100

*Please make sure that the attraction’s property does fit in an actual location…you MUST include at least an overhead map of the area of which your attraction is being placed. The only park that does not require an overhead map is HKDL! You will receive a zero for location if there is no map present.
*Please make sure the attraction is original
*Please explain the queue and exit walkways with detail
*Ride explain the ride itself in detail
*Remember…there’s always much more to include than just the ride itself!

DUE DATE: Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 11:59pm

Remember…this is an elimination round!

***Please post your project on the due date in this thread. If you are looking to turn in the project before the due date, please pm it to DisneyParksFan. If it is posted before the due date, it will be deleted and it will be your responsibility to turn it in again on the due date***

If the project is turned in late by…
1 Day…….-5 points
2 Days…..-10 points
3 Days…..-100 points

If you have any questions…please feel free to ask!

Can I be a part of this contest or have I been removed from them after contest two?

I've decided that my E-ticket ride will be located at the Disney-MGM Studios and be a water ride the likes of which will hopefully give Magic Kingdom's Splash Mountain a run for its money. This new ride will be themed to the famous Disney film, Fantasia. It's a water coaster and as I said before, it will try and give Splash Mountain a run for its money. With the Fantasia water ride, this means that every park at Walt Disney World will now have at least one water ride that will get you at least a little bit wet. And this ride WILL get you wet, no matter where in the boat you sit. One question, though: should the Fantasia ride be themed to both Fantasia movies, or just the original one?

And did I mention the ride WILL feature Fastpass?

I don't want to be a jerk but why are you telling us your premise? you're not supposed to give ur idea on the post 3 hours after the project has been released

Well, how was I to know that? Besides, I've just been providing an idea of what to expect, that's all. No need to be so rude.

If you look at the post above, I did say, " I don't want to be a jerk," because I didn't want to come off as rude, I was just questioning why you were telling us your project at this time. No need to get defensive, If i meant to be rude, i wouldn't have said in advance that i wasn't trying to be.

Yeah, and the beauty part of it is, I have much of the idea already put down somewhere. But I have a question: should the Fantasia ride feature both movies or just the original one?

^thats good! i have a few ideas written down too in my binder...but idk it's up to you on what movie to use, it's your project. do whatever sounds or feels right, and dont be scared to take chances.

*but instead of asking your competitors, ask family or friends *

Can we take down an old ride and add our new ride or does it have to be an unused space?

I would rather see it being built in an unused space or a space that does currently hold something, but where that something isn't that large in size or importance.
Good luck

If you cant find a lot of area to build your ride in, at Disneyland you are able to build underground. MK you cant, due to the high water table ( hence why the park was built on top of the Utilidors which are actually ground level.)

Wait second...don't tell me your taking that Fantasia:The Ride idea of mine. I was the one that posted that idea in your thread a few weeks ago, so if you take that, it would be considered stolen.

You dont remember this?:

Now, here's my idea for Fantasia: The Ride:

The building itself would be a soundstage, but the facade would be completly different. The front wall would be made to look like it has light brown rocks, and near the roof, the walls would be made of glass curves, like the animation building. The enterance, right outside the building, would have a fountain, which would change into different colors at night.

Once in the queve, guests have already been given the impression of what's to come. They then see a coaster train make a 30 ft. curve drop out of the building and back inside through a mist. The guest then reach the inside of the building, and being it's the smallest part of the queve, they would be riding within minutes.

The guests then reach the station. The station is dark, with the sensation of it being night time in a quiet village. The boat then comes into the station, and the guest then board and embark on their adventure.

The boat leaves the station and slowly floats through a right turn. It then goes up the 40 ft. lift hill, themed to be going up Bald Mountain. The boat then reaches the top and slowly goes through a section of the ride themed to the Night on Bald Mountain part of Fantasia. The boat then makes a 10 ft. drop, slightly sprinkling the riders with water. It then gets slightly darker. The track can't be seen, but at the top, near the ceiling, a projection of whales are seen swimming in the night sky.

It then gets completely dark. A light is then seen on the side, and a projection of broomsticks coming out with buckets are seen. The boat then enters a big room. Flashes of thunder and lightning are seen on the walls and ceiling. An AA of Scorceror Mickey is seen on the top of the rock ahead. And then, it gets pitch black, the boats speed up, and dive right out of the building. The boats then re-enter through the mist, back into pitch darkness, and down one last small drop. A flash of lightning is seen, and the boat then splashes down. The boat then reaches the station, and the riders get off wet and happy.

Total ride time: 6 minutes.
Now, I'm not saying I'm gonna use this one, but it was originally mine.
