1. Why do you want to be a participant in this game?
Because I want to work in a competition enviroment to design and create first class theme park attractions. 2. What are your experiences in theme park design, be it in forums, or just personal interest/history? I ran the Mousetimes Imagineer game for 2 seasons, judged for one, and competed in another. I'm a member of the Ohio State Theme Park Design Club and my major in college in Architecture. 3. What are your greatest strength as an Imagineer? I sense of creativity and passion. I want to create timeless expieriences and stories. 4. What is your biggest obstacle as an Imagineer? Lack of detail in prsentations. 5. What is your favorite theme park attraction (NOT counting POTC and Haunted Mansion, sorry, those two are just too easy) from a theme park design excellence standpoint and why? The Tower of Terror. It's brillant use of theming and story telling empitomizes what Disney seeks to create in it's attractions. Plus it's very fun to ride ^.^

Me and MEW have decided to open the game to everyone, including returning players. If you are a returning player and signed up to be a back up, disregard the back up part. Were looking for the most compelling people to be on this season, and applications will help us find that, so.
IF YOU ARE A RETURNING PLAYER AND WISH TO PLAY, YOU STILL MUST COMPLETE AN APPLICATION. You'll be considered a full applicant though, not just a back up. Keep the applications coming guys, me and MEW can already see this is going to be an amazing season! -Tiki

2. Helping to create different attractions for the parks, especially for the WDW Magic Kingdom. 3. Special interest in helping to make the parks better. 4. Lack of adequate knowledge and an inadequate education. 5. Either Big Thunder or Splash, they have excellent theme elements in them.

So I'm pretty new to the game and I was just wondering, how does the rest of the game work? Is it basically like designing a new park or attraction or what?

I'm not going to spoil what lies ahead this season but this is how the original game works. You as the player gets assigned various projects such as designing a new e-ticket for California Adventure or building your own Universal theme park, etc. Your project then gets graded and if you keep doing excellent work and continue to receive excellent scores than you make it on to the semi-finals and possibly even the finals. If you make the finals you're bound to place somehow and then your name makes it into the hall of fame which you may have already checked out elsewhere here on these forums.
But this season is going to be totally different, and because of that I won't be saying anymore about it. If you haven't signed up yet, please do to everyone!

Lets see if I can give this another shot….
1. Why do you want to be a participant in this game? I would like to be a participant in the competition as I would love to grow and change my Imagineering habits, and I feel that last season I didn’t last long enough to do that and grow. 2. What are your experiences in theme park design, be it in forums, or just personal interest/history? I have designed so much, you can search this forum of all my stuff I have done, I have made parades, attractions, even theme parks (themed to villains, etc.), I have participated in open Brainstorming. I have also been fully active on other forums (don’t know if I can post them here) for more time them ive been a member here. 3. What are your greatest strength as an Imagineer? My biggest strength is my knowledge of theme parks, and the history of Walt Disney Theme Parks, from Disneyland, to WDW to Tokyo and Paris, I feel that I have a wealth of knowledge and I can always learn. 4. What is your biggest obstacle as an Imagineer? My biggest obstacle in Imagineering is detail I feel that I either give TOO much or not enough. And also, as I learned in the last competition I take a movie too literally and go scene by scene. 5. What is your favorite theme park attraction (NOT counting POTC and Haunted Mansion, sorry, those two are just too easy) from a theme park design excellence standpoint and why? Well, this one for me will not be hard, (FYI HM and POTC weren’t even on my top 10... lol) I think Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has everything, and if you think about it, it was one of the first. BTMR has story, even though not as up-front and in your face as other attractions, it’s a subtle story that you always find a little more each time. And to top it all off, they took it from a “boreing” attraction where you just rode a train through AA scenes, to a rollercoaster, be it not a Expedition Everest, it is something to be proud of. Im excited and hope that i can go farther this season...

^Glad to have you on board Mater
You really did kind of get screwed last season because of a stupid grading technicality.

KingMickey's Imagineering Application
Why do you want to be a participant in this game? I want to participate in this game because I love the magic of Disney Imagineering. From a new attraction, a spectacular show or parade, or even a restaraunt or gift shop, the possibilities to explore are endless. That's one of my favorite aspects of Imagineering. You can stretch out of the realm of reality and create a new, immersive story and environment for guests to explore. That's what Disney is known for, to give a one-of-a-kind experience and I'm hopeful that I could live up to that standard. What are your experiences in theme park design, be it in forums, or just personal interest/history? I've had quite a bit of experience in the Imagineering department already. I originally partipated in this competition, since Season Four. During that season, I was lucky enough to make it all the way to the finals, where I received the 2nd place position for that season. In Season Five, I left the competiton early, due to my own personal goals, yet I still received the 5th place position. Over the course of these two seasons, the other competitors and I had been asked to design new E-Ticket attractions, new shops, restaraunt, land and even complete park overhauls. In these past two seasons, I've learned so much from my fellow competitors and judges. I can only hope that I get better with each passing project. I hope that Season Six will be my best season yet. Here are a few of my works from the seasons: http://www.visionsfantastic.com/foru...68-post61.html This project included a new Fantasyland D-Ticket attraction, which replaced Snow White’s Scary Adventure and Pinocchio’s Daring Journey. The new attraction is a Beauty and the Beast dark ride. From Season Four. http://www.visionsfantastic.com/foru...01-post38.html This project included a new E-ticket attraction for Frontierland, as well as new additions to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and a new backstory to Frontierland. From Season Four. http://www.visionsfantastic.com/foru...39-post40.html This project required the contestant to create just ONE scene from a newly designed E-Ticket. The contestant described the scene, in vast detail, from color and lighting, to animatronics and special effects. My scene was from I ride I created, titles Maleficent's Forbidden Tower. From Season Five. Although I've had a bit of experience with this competition, I've also had much more outside this contest. Towards the conclusion of Season Four, I started The Ultimate Disney Resort thread on these boards. This massive resort features five theme parks, three of them being my own, original theme park concepts, as well as most of the attractions and shops found, within. The resort also features several resorts and two water parks. Of course, fellow Visions Fantastic members, such as AraBrokenDreamer, Disneyland_DHI and Maneatingwreath, offered guidance, suggestions and ideas along the way and I am so grateful. The Ultimate Disney Resort Additionally, this doesn't have much to do with Disney Park Imagineering, but I've also fully created a third installment for the Kingdom Hearts series, respectively titled Kingdom Hearts III. The project took place over at the WDWmagic boards. Designing a complete video game could be just as hard as designing any park or attraction, especially with a massive game like Kingdom Hearts. I believe that I have successfully done it with KH3. Kingdom Hearts III -Imagineering A Video Game - WDWMAGIC.COM Forums Since then, I've started creating a Kingdom Hearts 4 video game sequel, as well. I've just started with this project, but it looks promising. I'm hoping that it'll be a great success! Kingdom Hearts IV- Imagineering a Video Game - WDWMAGIC.COM Forums What are your greatest strength as an Imagineer? I'm confident that I can design a great dark ride. For me, they are the most fun and imaginative. I love creating new, original lands and even land makeovers. I also enjoy creating shows and firework displays. I have a great knowledge of Disney parks past and present. I feel like these specific fields and types of attractions suit me best. What is your biggest obstacle as an Imagineer? Mainly, detail. What is your favorite theme park attraction (NOT counting POTC and Haunted Mansion, sorry, those two are just too easy) from a theme park design excellence standpoint and why? Darn tiki, POTC and HM gone...in that case, I would have to go with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The ride itself is so massive and is one heck of an experience. It's a great family ride, yet still offers the thrills. It's vastly detailed, you could ride that attraction 10 times in a row and still find new details. I love the entire western frontier theme of the attraction, it actually feels like you're riding through the abandoned passages of a mountain, just off the outskirts of a western town. My favorite thing about the attraction is that it feels like a different experience at night. Lights and sound really bring out the attraction and offer a different experience at night. Thanks for reading my Season Six application and I truly hope that you take my application into consideration. I greatly appreciate your time and care. -KingMickey

Even though I'm not doing this competition (school takes up too much time), I am really impressed with these resumes! MEW and Tiki- I won't be participating, but I'll let you know that I'll be doing all of these projects personally

Man, it feels pretty good to be back on this board.

2. I'll be the first to say that I have a lot of good idea, but they're usually found in the ol' noggin. I'm sure there are things that I have done on this board, but I haven't been around for a bit, so they'll be pretty far back in the archives. 3. I have an unmatchable passion for what is done here. I don't know if you could already tell, but this kind of stuff gets me excited in ways that I haven't been able to reproduce in other environments. My mind just flows when I work on the parks. 4. Sometimes I'm a little too much of a realist. That's natural, I try my best to fight it. I feel that I am constantly improving in the realm of critical acceptance of others, but I have a long way to go, yet. 5. I'm a big Jungle Cruise fan, myself. Granted, it's no Pirates, but I never get tired of the sight gags and the skipper's spiel. And that Trader Sam, what a jokester. ---TrevorA
