Default Season 3 FINAL project

I'm going to keep this short, considering I don't have the time to do a full write up. What we are asking is for a full re-do of Disneyland's Tomorrowland using these requirements and grading scale.

Requirements

Must be a complete redo of Tomorrowland
Must have a new theme
Must add at least one new attraction
Must has at least on stage show (you can use Tomorrowland Terrace)
Must have at least one new shop
Must have at least one new resturant
Must add back Peoplemover in a new form
Must redo the front entrance
Must either put the Astrorbitor back on the PM platform, or find a new atmospheric scenic element to go up there that does something
Must provide at least 3 to 5 drawings of things you add

Grading Scale

Following Directions /100 (10 or no points for each MUST)
Theme /30
Detail /30
Restaraunt/shop /15
Attraction /15
New Peoplemover /20
Front Enterance /25
Stageshow /15
Total /250

Good luck, the projects are due Friday, September 26th

You too MAM. I love this project. And Lightech, I've thought up of previous ideas with Tomorrowland. May I still use those or do I need new ideas?

You may use those, as long as they fit the entire theme you are going for, and what we asked for.

One last thing Lightech, may we completely rearrange every ride and or tear some down as we please to add a better attraction even if they're not in the requirement list?

You cant remove attractions already exisiting. you have to tie them into the area. Now if you were to remove say Innoventions, then by all means. Use the starcade 1 and 2 floors, then sure. Other than that, no. Must use space already available.

Alright I think I'm clear of what you want in this project. But we are allowed to change the facades of the buildings to match the style right?

so, lighttech, what's that picture of?

Sorry, but I wanted to get this on my posts page for easier viewing. Great job to the final two, and I must say, even though almost everyone dropped out, you guys deserved to be in the final two. After searching my heart, and my schedule, I'm afraid this will be my last season as well, though I wish success onto all who enter this competition.

I just want to reiterate what I said earlier about me leaving the game. I am leaving not because I am not interested in the game, it’s because I am very busy.

I just want to say a few things before this season ends. I want you to leave this game with some form of happiness. The happiness I get from the same thing. I know you all have passions out there, though it may not be Imagineering, a passion for something. Stay with those passions no matter what they are.

I want to give a few pieces of advice to you guys while I have the time.

When designing something, or creating something, always remember to plan ahead. Start with a basic idea and go from there. Always remember to plan for every aspect of every design element. One thing unplanned can cause a major downfall in your design. I have learned that if you don’t think of everything, the project in the end will have flaws. Like my parade for instance. I have many continuity flaws in timing of the parades and castle shows, as well as making sure they tie together while keeping the theme of the two running in-between the parade and show. My narrations that are played a few min after the parade will let you know that something is to come later. Then right before the show on the castle another narration is played alerting you that the story is continuing. There are many flaws in that, many being how to make sure that the story will stay in people’s heads, then still being able to remember what happened to listen to the continued story a few hours later.

Just remember to take your time and think before you do. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!. Not many of you think of the technical aspects that go into the design, but those aspects can alter the slightest thing. The way your track design (if designing a ride) is set up, the way your land is laid out, all play key parts in the way you can design it. Space is required in the attraction for mechanics; space is required in the land for storage, break rooms, areas for backstage access. When you design a ride, the entire show building can’t be just filled with your ride; the show building requires many other things for the ride to operate. I know this isn’t real, but why not design it the way it should rather than just doing it. You get more out of it this way. If I were to design something that left out the important stuff, I would feel like I have left it unfinished.

I just want to leave you with a few quotes I always follow.

“Nothing is impossible, until proven impossible”

“Everything starts with an idea, but that idea is only as great as you make it”

“Creative minds think alike, but only yours knows what you want”

“Start with the thought of going through all the way, end with the thought that you succeeded”

“Express through love the ideas you want, passion is the key to creativeness”

“Walt once said, that everything started with a mouse, that mouse was Walt’s ticket to creative genius. You too can find something that will lead you down your path”
