Anyhow HalloweenTime would become a bigger event at the resort, conjuring up more decorations and even mazes and possibly scarezones. Hong Kong Disneyland does it, so whynot Disneyland? Now I already understand Disneyland has Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and a new firework show on the way this October, but we can totally go farther than that. So what I want to do here is come up with temporary overlays for the lands and attractions of DL and DCA. Yes we will be doing both parks to attract scream-seeking guests to both. Overlays would be like a Haunted Hollywood overlay of Hollywood Pictures Backlot. We can come up with a new firework show for Disneyland which would replace the one they're making now (I know I haven't seen it yet but we can come up with our own) and a Halloween overlay of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color. We'll base the Halloween stuff at DCA off of all the upcoming changes. Anyhow where should we begin?

Let's decide where to put the mazes. Firstly, though, does this include DL getting Trick-or-Treat nights? Because then the mazes could be at nighttime only perhaps (like through the Splash Mountain queue).

ok, maybe, we can have some sort of robo-alien-invasion-thing to Tomorrowland. Nightmare Nebula/Ghost Galaxies can possibly add a temporary story to Space Mountain that features guests going into a part of space similar to the Bermuda Triangle, where aliens roam, which offers guests the chilling challenge... to FIND A WAY OUT! lol
TSMM could get a Halloween overlay, too, I suppose. |

I would love to help out... being from WDW's MK MNSSHP i dont think it really can help... except that the fireworks and the parade for MNSSHP are the best i think, in WDW...
Also there can be a overlay for ToonTown... maybe... Frontierland can become like the have in DLP, where they have witches and such... Those are some of my ideas for now...

I was thinking we have a maze in Main Street, a maze in Tomorrowland, a maze in Adventureland, and maybe one in Frontierland or Fantasyland. We can definitely have kid friendly trick or treat nights. We need to come up with plots for the mazes of course.
Main Street U.S.A., lots of Halloween decorations, new parade and new fireworks show. Adventureland, Mara has been freed from the Temple of the Forbidden Eye and unleashed a reign of terror on Adventureland. New Orleans, Jack Skellington has spread his nightmarish decorations everywhere. Critter Country, heffalumps and woozles have created a daily street show where kids can get up and dance! Frontierland, lots of jack-o-lanterns here, along with Day of the Dead skeletons. A daily operating maze would be held in Big Thunder Ranch. Fantasyland, Disney villain takeover, what else? it's a small world in the dark? Toontown, more child-friendly overlay. Tomorrowland, evil robot and alien invasion! Buena Vista Street, lots of Halloween decorations. Hollywood Pictures Backlot, renamed Haunted Hollywood. Tower of Terror left unchanged, Nightmare Before Christmas musical in the theater, Halloween show for Muppet*Vision, stuff like that. Golden State- Grizzly maze in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Soarin' over scary landmarks of the world, an erupting volcano, the Grand Canyon, graveyards, etc. Paradise Pier- Renamed Paradise FEAR. Backwards carnival music, new haunted house dark ride, Toy Story Mania rethemed to Disney villains? Carsland- Halloween decorations. Graveyard of lost cars photo opp. it's a bug land- Giant evil bug invasion!

ok, I was thinking insead of TSMM being turned into a villain ride, you should probably just make it the toys throwing a Halloween carnival, so you don't have to change it up too much.
and you're using my Halloween MV, aren't you? that's fine by me! I just need to write acts and an ending. |

Here is an idea of what I have so far.
Main Street would get lots of decorations. Meaning tons of jack-o-lanterns and orange banners. The Mickey head in the front planter would be replaced by a planter of Mickey wearing the green-eye mask like he did last year for HalloweenTime. Jack-o-lanterns of famous Disney characters would be placed around the partners statue. At night the land would take on a whole new dimension. All the buildings including the castle would glow an eerie green, all the light up signs hanging from the sides of the shops and restaurants would flicker on and off. HalloWishes the upcoming Halloween fireworks show would play while a new parade called "Mickey's You Can't Scare Me Parade" would light up the street by glowing in the dark. A new show would be placed in the Main Street Opera House. "Disney Villains, Starring Ben Stiller." In this new fifteen minute show, Ben Stiller would play the part of a caretaker to an old Transylvanian castle in a black and white parody of a horror film. Unfortunately Stiller would awaken the spirits of the Disney villains whom would make parodies of classic horror films. For instance, the finale would feature an angry mob chasing Maleficent into a windmill. In a twist of fate Maleficent would turn into a dragon and burn the windmill herself. The film will be quite a hoot. Like said before Mara would be awoken and unleashed upon Adventureland. New thrills would accompany this including the Enchanted Tiki Room "Under New Management." In this new show the spirits of Shere Khan and Scar would be sent by Mara to terrorize the tiki birds and their guests, just for insulting her years ago. Jafar would now have a meet and greet in Aladdin's Oasis while an LCI Iago would talk to guests from his newly installed perch. The Jungle Cruise would be changed only at night. The river would be filled with fog while new sound effects would emit from behind all corners of the jungle. New lighting will be given to the lion's den and the head hunter village. The skippers would also be undead and silent during the night. Indiana Jones Adventure would remain the same, only seemingly motionless mummies would be placed outside the queue. Suddenly the mummies would spring to life and wander about the queue finding a new resting place. This would happen indoors as well. Tarzan's Treehouse would become Demon Jungle, a new haunted maze where guests are menaced by the restless spirits of the jungle. Keep an eye out for evil tiki totems. At night Adventureland would be filled with fog. The living corpses of mummies and long-since dead jungle explorers would wander free throughout the land. Evil tikis and moss-covered skeletons would decorate the entire land. New Orleans Square would be taken over by Jack Skellington's vision of Christmas. That means jack-o-lanterns, skulls, thorny garland, and orange Christmas lights on each and every balcony. Dead Christmas trees glowing with candles would be placed in all the planters and gardens, while Jack and Sally would make regular appearances daily. Haunted Mansion Holiday would of course return, while a special tribute to the original Haunted Mansion would be held up in the Disneyland Dream Suite. The new exhibit would showcase the artwork of the attraction and how it was designed and things like that. The other part of the exhibit would be dedicated to the making of the Nightmare Before Christmas then the Haunted Mansion Holiday's creation. Pirates of the Caribbean would remain without any decorations, outside and inside. Critter Country would first off be filled with jack-o-lanterns baring the likes of Pooh and friends, along with Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox. Henry and Big Al would also make cameo appearances on pumpkins. Pooh would remain the same just for the sake of the kiddies. Splash Mountain would be temporarily closed for repairs while its queue would become "Brer Fox's Brew." Explore Brer Fox's lair as the mean old critter hunts his next meal...you. Avoid angry alligators and bears as you try to make it out alive. Brer Rabbit does save the day in the end though. Front "FEAR" Land Frontierland would become an old Southwest ghost town celebrating the Day of the Dead. Lots of Day of the Dead decorations all over the place along with jack-o-lanterns and hay. The shooting gallery would remain the same as would the Mark Twain and Columbia. The Golden Horseshoe would play a new show, the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies Halloween Special, and serve pumpkin pie rather than ice cream sundaes. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad would also remain the same as it is already themed to a haunted mine. Living scarecrows would inhabit Big Thunder Trail popping out without much warning. Fantasmic! would remain along with Pirate's Lair. Only Pirate's Lair would be renamed Dead Man's Island. The new island would be a large scarezone where undead pirates menace guests, under the orders of Davy Jones that is. All the playground equipment and whatnot would be given temporary overlays that don't take up much time to make. The little settler's cabin to the northwest of the island would be removed and placed somewhere along Big Thunder Trail in memory of the original Frontierland. In its place would be "The Cabin," a large two story cabin built in place of the burning settler's cabin. The Cabin would be an intense maze through an abandoned cabin retelling the story of an eccentric cowboy whom upset nature deeply, forcing him to live in an eternity of endless nigtmares. The only way to access the cabin is by taking a special raft departing from Tom Sawyer's Landing. Big Thunder Ranch would be replaced by a new maze as well, Werewolf Woods, where guests try to escape a haunted forest full of angry werewolves. This maze only operates during the night as werewolves don't exist during the day. The place serves as a meet and greet for the Big Bad Wolf during the day. Fantasyland hasn't been changed much as it is made especially for children. So all the attractions would remain in full function, save for a few orange banners and jack-o-lanterns here and there. The old skyway station would glow green at night, glowing from the windows. Several of the upstairs windows in the main Fantasyland area would also glow green. Small World will be given a new overlay, of course only during the night. During the day it would be its happy cheery and bright self. But once night hits and the facade lights up, the interior goes dark, all the music and props still playing. That's right, set sail in it's a small world with no light, just pitch blackness, all the animatronics and effects still moving all the music still playing. Creepy huh? The Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough would be turned into a trip through Maleficent's dungeons, the Queen's laboratory, Captain Hook's galley, and the Horned King's lair. Fog would roll in from the abandoned motorboat cruise waters every night, eerie creatures heard croaking from within. Mickey's Toontown would get lots of Halloween cartoon decorations about the place. Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party would be held here where little ones can go trick-or-treating from house to house, making their way to Fantasyland, then Main Street. Nothing else changed. Tomorrowland has been claimed by the Empire and Jabba the Hutt, the Hutt having been given control of half the land. Autopia, the Monorail, and the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Innoventions, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience would all remain in their current state. Everything else would not. The Jedi Training Academy would be replaced by the Empire Training Academy where Darth Vader would try and teach guests to join the Dark Side and become Sith Lords. Luckily Luke Skywalker would come in and battle with Vader, saving guests just at the right time. Star Tours would go down for refurbishment and its queue would be taken over by Droid Rebellion, where opressed droids would revolt and take their anger out on passing guests. Threepio and Artoo are unfortunately caught in the middle of all this. Jabba's Palace would take the place of the Starcade, where guests try to escape the wrath of Jabba the Hutt, the criminal overlord of the universe. Can you escape his evil alien guards? That's all I got right now.

"Some Imagination Huh?"
![]() |
That sounds really good. On our previous trip we took a week ago, I notices how creepy it is walking through the indoors indiana jones adventure Queue when no one is around. That got my friend and I thinking how it would be scary if that became a maze. The line would remain outside like it normally does and the inside would become a maze. Imagine walking through the bat cave with people scaring you from the different corners that are in front of you, creepy.

/\ That's the point :)
I don't want to take that many rides down for a while we already have to take the Tiki Room, Tarzan's Treehouse, the Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Pirate's Lair at Tom Sawyer's Island, Space Mountain, and Star Tours down for a few days or a couple of weeks, especially for the bigger overlays like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Splash Mountain. We could do something for BLAB though it just might have to be at a time where one or two of the previously mentioned attractions are operating.

This is what I've come up for HalloweenTime at California Adventure once it has been completed with its big makeover and whatnot.
Unlike Main Street across the way, Walt Disney Plaza will be decorated with black funeral wreathes and drapes, along with eerie candles that glow in the night. No jack-o-lanterns here. Hollywoodland will be temporarily renamed to Haunted Hollywood. All the music played here will be played backwards, while all the colorful signs and light up buildings will flicker and zap. At night the land glows dark violet in color, the sounds of wind howling up a storm. Playhouse Disney Live on Stage will be given a temporary Halloween overlay where Mickey and friends want to throw a Halloween party, only to be harrassed by a horrible ghost. With the right amount of searching and audience participation, the ghost is revealed to be Donald Duck just trying to get first grabs at the Halloween candy. Disney Animation would remain, only most of the exhibits would focus more on Disney villains then Disney heroes and heroines. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will remain while a new Nightmare Before Christmas production will take over the Hyperion. Monsters, Inc. will also remain the way it is as it has to do with monsters. Muppet*Vision will be given a new Halloween show as in the case with Playhouse Disney and the Hyperion. A new maze through an abandoned house in Hollywood would be placed in the former Who Wants to be a Millionaire building if it's still there. This new maze would feature ghostly movie stars, demented servants, and tributes to classic horror films. The Golden State would become a dark forest surrounded by who knows what. All manner of dark creatures croak from behind all directions, giving the sense we are constantly being watched. Soarin' has been renamed Soarin' With Disaster! In this new overlay guests take off into the sky when they find themselves soaring over the more dangerous regions of the world; an erupting volcano, a blizzard, a hurricane, whitewater rapids, an avalanche, a tornado, an earthquake, being chased by tigers in a thick jungle, avoiding traffic from bumper-level, etc. Grizzly River Run has been practically untouched. In place of the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail rests the Grizzly Mines, a maze where guests enter an abandoned mining facility where they are attacked by restless grizzly bears and falling rocks and infamous California earthquakes. it's a bug's land has been renamed Candy Corn Acres where some clumsy trick-or-treaters has dropped his or her entire bag of candy, causing the bugs to go wild. Mostly everything would remain the same save for new decorations, like a giant jack-o-lantern, giant chunks of candy corn, humongous chocolate bars, wrappings of gum, assorted taffies, etc. Paradise Pier will be effected the most, renamed Paradise Fear. Like Haunted Hollywood, all the carnival music and whatnot will be played backwards, pretty creepy huh? If that wasn't enough jack-o-lanterns have taken over the roofs and windows of all the Victorian buildings while an eerie fog rolls into the lagoon at night. California Screamin' remains with the same title and everything, save for a frightening new soundtrack. King Triton's Carousel has been transformed into Ursula's Scare-Ousel where frightening music and Ursula's commentary narrate the journey. New lighting would be in effect as well. Toy Story Midway Mania would get a new holiday overlay where the toys can be found hosting a Halloween party. New games await you! The games of the boardwalk have been boarded up slightly, apparently gone out of business. But something isn't right here. Oh no! Clowns! Clowns are lurking below the boards, lookout they want you! Unlike Halloween Horror Nights and Knott's Scary Farm these clowns are more dopey than scary. Think Goofy in human form jumping out to scare you. More of these clowns roam the pier, but instead of laughing and telling jokes, they look rather sad, just watching everyone pass, standing there and staring. Mickey's Fun Wheel would remain only hearbeat sound effects would be added to the gondolas as they stop and swing. Horrible creaking sounds as if the wheel is about to break would also accompany this new effect. The Silly Syphony Swings would remain only the creaking sounds and frightening music would also be added. Goofy's Sky School would remain the same entirely. A new dark ride that would operate year-round will be placed in the pier, Clowny the Clown's House of Horrors. This dark ride parody of old carnival spookhouses would be hosted by Clowny the Clown, an incredibly stupid clown that wants nothing more than to scare us. Unfortunately his bag of tricks often go wrong, sending us into some very sticky situations. This trackless dark ride would be more funny than scary just like the Haunted Mansion. Ariel's Under the Sea Adventure would remain the same. Carsland wouldn't face any changes save for lots of jack-o-lanterns shaped like cars. A new graveyard of lost cars would be added where guests can take pictures with Lightning and Mater in their Halloween costumes. Lightning dressed as Frankenstein's monster, Mater as a ghost, dressed in a white sheet with two holes for the eyes.
