I dunno if that's the way you'd wanna go with Mushu... Having a Mulan scene instead of Peter Pan/Pocahontas/Pirates might be cool, though, because Mushu could make fireworks go off before we transition into the Princess medley. I noticed ya'll mentioned a water screen montage along with the floats, and I say go for it... but put some new princesses on the boats, too, or use more of them.
I've got some ideas for the villain bit, too, but the one I really thought would be an interesting idea might be Brother Bear in place of Jungle Book/Lion King. -Ara

Either one, or he could be an animatronic on the "roof" that comes out for the Mulan scene. If I was to choose between the two of you, I'd have Mulan fighting Shang and then the water screen appear and show Mushu getting the rocket, which shoots Shang on stage as Mulan runs the other way to leap off the roof onto Shang. Which stage did ya'll go with? And I hate to be the nay-sayer again, but the amphitheater at DHS actually helps with the show because they have more and better seating, you have better staging areas and stage access. You also don't impede operations as much for other attractions. As far as a Kaa replacement, how would Brother Bear work? -Ara -Ara

and it's been a few years since I've seen it, forgive me if I'm getting the wrong names down. Yes, she fights Shan Yu, leaps off the balcony down to Shang on the steps. That'll be some sweet tech inside Mushu, him being so small and all. -Ara

That'd be interesting... but wasn't Heffalumps and Woozles part of the show that was turned into the Dancing Bubbles scene?

Well, what villains are even in contention for the villain solo? I think we're still having the Evil Queen for the transformation and summoning, but can we get in on another villain for the Ursual/Jafar bit? Like Facilier?

Uh... they'd be the first TV film characters included in here, and the second live-action characters (or first if we don't have the Pirates). Most people haven't seen Hocus Pocus, either, so why not stick to something a little more mainstream? We want someone somewhat current (Fantasmic came on in 91 or 92 and they did Ursula because she was the newest mega-villain, and when they re-did it for Florida's 95 version, Jafar was picked for her bit because he could utilize the snake that had been moved from the jungle scene, and Radcliffe had taken the Hook bit. what would be the newest powerhouse for this movie?).

Zurg/Sid, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 Hopper, from Bug's Life Waternoose/Randall, from Monsters, Inc. Uh... there wasn't one in Nemo. Chick Hicks from Cars, if you can really call him one. Syndrome from Incredibles Skinner, again, if you can call him much of a villain AUTO from Wall-E Muntz from UP I'm not seeing any villains that really fit with the magical imagination of Fantasmic. Now, going back to Disney, here are all the villains back to 1997 ('97 was the year of Hercules, and Hades took over some of Chernabog's action in the Florida cut of Fantasmic): 2009: Facilier, Princess and the Frog 2008: Dr. Calico, Bolt 2003: Sitka, Brother Bear 2002: Silver, Treasure Planet 2002: Gantu, Lilo and Stitch 2001: Rourke, Atlantis 2000: Yzma, Emperor's New Groove ** 1999: Clayton/Sabor, Tarzan 1998: Shan Yu, Mulan 1997: Hades, Hercules **Yzma has potential because she has a song that was released with the soundtrack but not with the film. However, her voice actress died last year. Above the above list... my favorites are Facilier, he's fresh and deserves for time in the park, Yzma, though we'd have to find new voice talent, and Calico, because despite being a digital film it's the villain you could work the most with, between lasers and fire and other such techno-weaponry. Your villain is your choice, but remember the rule of one (One solo, one villain, esp. since some of these movies have more than one or have sidekicks). Choose carefully. -Ara

Is Mulan in the show for sure? I was thinking we could have a Buzz VS. Zurg thing with all sorts of crazy pyro and lasers and all sorts of stuff in place of a battle where a ship introduces it, with the aliens making appearances. |

The rest of it... eh... I'm starting to think Mickey's getting on a Tomorrowland futuristic kick, which is fine, but we'd want a venue to match it and that venue is not the Rivers of America (or whatever it's called at Paris). The setting also gives Facilier more reason to be there: He fits in (even if it's not NOS at DLR). And what would they be fighting on? Their ships all crash-landed in the river and they're still fighiting, and they wouldn't be using their jet-packs to fly? If this was akin to the elevator fight from TS2 where they're toys using toy weapons to fight, then that might be okay.
