Default Disney's World of color in WDW (Open Brainstorming)

If this show becomes a success this is were we put ideas for a Florida version. No it will not replace Fantasmic in Florida.

If it's not going to be at Disney's Hollywood Studios than it will either have to be at The Magic Kingdom or Epcot but I don't see the show really fitting at those parks too well. I mean World of Color would have to be on the Rivers of America in Frontierland or somewhat replace Illuminations at Epcot. I'm not saying I think this is a bad idea I'm just saying it'll be hard theming it to those two parks.

No! don't do that! The only reason it's a water fountain show is because the bay is too small fire Fireworks. WDW can do better.

They can't do fireworks, yes, but the show is going to be simply amazing without fireworks. Do they need fireworks to make a show stunning? I don't think they do.

Speaking of World of Color not fitting into anywhere at WDW thematically, I don't even really see how a show about Disney films fits in with a California pier, but that's alright, the show is going to be incredible. It sounds as if it's going to be on a scale much bigger than any show they've ever attempted before.

But.. I wouldn't want it going to another park. I'd like it to stay unique to California. I was glad when Oriental Land opted out of World of Color for Disney Sea and instead picked Fantasmic!, since Fantasmic! has already been redone at WDW.

^Yeah I know, the main reason I posted that was because I didn't want WDW to have our epic show. It needs to keep it's exclusivity for a little while, and not get cloned over to another park.

well, I think it's been settled that WoC should stay to DCA, but that doesn't mean WDW doesn't deserve some epic show, does it? we should brainstorm a show like that here...

First off we need a location. Is it going to take over illuminations?

I think it should. It's time for illuminations to get topped, and we need something EPIC to replace it. Now, I of all people do not think that World Showcase should be filled to the gills with characters, but that said, a fireworks show out on the bay (with maybe a water parade an hour to an hour and a half before) that showcases not only the diverse and global nature of World showcase, but of the Disney characters. Whenever I hear Fountain of Nations and illuminations 25 on VF radio, I always like to think of different character themes that go with them.

Or am I just off my rocker?

That's exactly why I was happy that they chose Fantasmic! over World of Color for Tokyo DisneySea. Fantasmic! has already been redone, and I know they will make it superb with OLC's budgeting. I just hope WDW doesn't decide to take World of Color and force it in somewhere.
