Default Disney's Muppet Movie Studios, Open Brainstorming

who knows about the old plans to turn a section of DHS into Muppet Movie Studios? And who knows about the little corner where Stage 17 and Monsters Inc. are at?

well I thought, "What would happen if Muppet Movie Studios happened there?"

this won't just be the Muppet Movie Studios. It's going to be the Muppet Movie Studios, meaning that small little arch that reads, "Hollywood Studios" or something like that will be transformed into a large, white, marble archway with red lettering that reads, "Muppet Movie Studios" with Kermit atop it holding the world like in the Muppet Movie (I know it wasn't Kermit, I just want to put emphasis on Muppets). below is the tollbooth that was also seen in the film which Statler and Waldorf passed.

any thoughts or additions?

okay, Monsters is great, but getting a bit tiring except for Roz's message to you in the end. why don't we turn that into a studio tour? a fake one of course! here's my idea for it:

the Muppet Studio Tour

You start by going through a soundstage where several zany movie ads are plastered throughout the queue. Also in the queue, there is a televsion monitor where it shows what films are being shot as you pass by some famed Muppet props, which are recreations or the actual prop. You then get into the tour car, which was obviously invented by the scientists of Muppet fame (Phil Van Neuter and Bunsen and Beaker). Scooter appears in the television screens, appearing to control your car with a remote.

Scooter: Hello, folks! Today, we're filming tons of movies here on the Muppet backlot, so.. uh... enjoy!

The car heads into where the long tunnel always is. Nothing here has changed, except for the film, which is a montage of clips from the Muppet Show, television specials, Muppets Tonite, and the Muppet Movies

more to come later.

Scooter appears in the television screens, appearing to control your car with a remote.

Scooter: Hello, folks! Today, we're filming tons of movies here on the Muppet backlot, so.. uh... please keep your hands, arms, feet, legs, and tails inside the ride. Thank you! (quietly) Now, uh... what was I forgetting? (regular voice) Oh, yeah! Enjoy!

The car heads into where the long tunnel always is. Nothing here has changed, except for the film, which is a montage of clips from the Muppet Show, television specials, Muppets Tonite, and the Muppet Movies and uses the same effect as the Muppet Vision pre-show.

Kermit: Hello, folks! If you're afraid of the dark, don't worry because this tunnel is only for dramatic effect. Now, just wait for me to come up from under the hood... and voila! (Kermit is now where the hood is, while the cameras show footage of the hood for everyone to see.) Now, we should be approaching the gates any second now... (turns around) Wait a minute, where are the little gate lights?

(The cars approach the gates, which are still dark. Then it is learned that Gonzo is driving in the other direction.)

Kermit: Brakes! Brakes! Where are the brakes?!? AAAAAHHHH!

(Strobe lights go on as you approach the gates to simulate a crash)

Kermit: I think we missed it...

Gonzo (with an upside down truck suspended from midair): You call that a miss?

Kermit: Gonzo, will you get down from there?!?!

Gonzo: Oh, sure thing. Just wait a sec... almost got it...

Kermit: Now, let's continue our tour, shall we? Over here they are still filming Gone With the Schwinn. I'll see you later.

(The city set is the same and some monsters remain from the previous Monsters Inc. ride while a billboard advertise the Pigs in Space movie, while a crumpled up, damadged bike is on the ground and a steam roller is perched close by. Some Muppets are filming what's going on. The television screens now display maps of the studio with what you've tracked down in dotted lines and the location you're at is blinking.)

Kermit: Alrighty, then... Here we are approaching craft services ran by everyone's favorite cook. Or almost everyone's... (turns around to drive) It looks like Gonzo has come down from his truck.

(The gates open to reveal various chaos. Chickens are flying around with Gonzo hanging on to Camilla's tail, heaters have been turned on to make it feel as if the Swedish Chef is going to place a chicken inside a boiling pot of water, a lobster mariachi (sp?) band is playing by the window, Bunsen and Beaker are running away on their mobile lab from the table with Beaker saving various foods making it hard to peddle, with an angry Rowlf in a giant hotdog bun, and Statler and Waldorf sleeping peacefully on a couch near the end of the scene. When you pass by, they remark on something in the scene (it'd different each time with the use of LCI.)

more later

I like the Studio Tour so far, it sounds much better than Monsters. In the scene with the CDA you should have a bunch of Muppet paparazi taking pictures of Miss Piggy who dances around. Then in the room with the two squeaky voiced monsters you could have Statler and Waldorf complaining about the low quality of the ride. The boy's lockeroom can become the Muppet Monster Holding Facility where all the Muppet monsters can be seen singing the "Ugly Song" (I forget what episode of the Muppet Show it's in) and causing havoc. Then in the room where Randal is seen raising a door you can have Pepe in a hot tub with two female rats and Rizzo talking about how rich he is with Rizzo shooting down everything he says. In the room with all the doors and Randal you can have the explosives room, run by Crazy Harry and Animal. You figure out what happens in there. Where you find Boo beating Randal with a bat normally you'll find a fried Fozzie telling a crummy joke about explosions. In the room with the opening and closing doors and Sulley saying goodbye to Boo you'll find that you've driven onto the stage of the Muppet Show, right during the opening number! A very angry cast of Muppets yelling at you for ruining their set with the previous explosion. Then in the room where Roz is talking to you, you find yourself exiting the studios, Statler and Waldorf sitting on a bench saying this.

Statler: Well how'd you like the ride Waldorf?

Waldorf: I don't know I slept through the whole thing.

Statler: Well you didn't miss much!

I don't know that was just an idea.

okay, thanks for the suggestions MEW, I will try to place some of those in while enhancing the ideas.

the Muppet Studio Tour

You start by going through a soundstage where several zany movie ads are plastered throughout the queue. Also in the queue, there is a televsion monitor where it shows what films are being shot as you pass by some famed Muppet props, which are recreations or the actual prop. You then get into the tour car, which was obviously invented by the scientists of Muppet fame (Phil Van Neuter and Bunsen and Beaker). Scooter appears in the television screens, appearing to control your car with a remote.

Scooter: Hello, folks! Today, we're filming tons of movies here on the Muppet backlot, so.. uh... please keep your hands, arms, feet, legs, and tails inside the ride.

Here we are approaching craft services kitchen ran by everyone's favorite cook. Or almost everyone's... (turns around to drive) It looks like Gonzo has come down from his truck.

(The gates open to reveal various chaos in a replica of Swedish Chef's kitchen. Chickens are flying around with Gonzo hanging on to Camilla's tail, heaters have been turned on to make it feel as if the Swedish Chef is going to place a chicken inside a boiling pot of water, a lobster mariachi (sp?) band is playing by the window, Bunsen and Beaker are running away on their mobile lab from the table with Beaker saving various foods making it hard to peddle, with an angry Rowlf in a giant hotdog bun, a shelf about to be tipped with open jars (along with a talking Koozebanian liquid, Rizzo sleeping in one of the jars, and some of the super glue from the Gilda Radner episode),fish using the pot as a hottub, and Statler and Waldorf sleeping peacefully on a couch near the end of the scene while a scent of ginger and other foods lingers in the air. Every time a vehicle passes by, the two old men either wake up and say something about the scene or a rider, or just stay asleep and snore louder.)

Kermit: Moving right along (banjo notes of the song, Movin' Right Along are
heard) from craft services to another soundstage,we're approaching the next soundstage where a top-secret movie that the public aren't allowed to know
about is being filmed.

(Signs and billboards proudly announce a Pigs in Space Movie. Some of these signs are really big, and AA Muppets in the distance being driven along by a Whatnot named Jerry, and he even announces the movie loudly. The car goes into the soundstage to find various lights going on and off and human and whatnot fans and paparrazzi are taking pictures of someone. Link Hogthrob is flexing his muscles idiotically as no one is crowding around him. Everyone is crowding around Piggy as she dances around. Strangepork is trying to keep all the papparrazzi off of the Swinetrek set by using all sorts of stuff with him like the super glue made in the Gilda Radner episode, a giant key, some tools, and a toolbox laying right by. But while he has tools out, he gets himself caught in a sticky situation. Litterally. He glued his fingers together and is now doing the alien hand sign thing as AA snd plywood paparazzi and fans plague the set.)

Kermit: WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE?! Wait, technically we're in a space movie soundstage, so "the world" doesn't really work. WHAT IN KOOZEBANE IS GOING ON?! AND WHO PUT THE PLYWOOD FANS AND PAPARRAZZI AS THE DOORS?

Scooter (from a distance): It was left over from Superstar Limo, sir!

Kermit: Didn't we dispose of all those things?

Scooter: Management wanted the park to be eco-friendly, so I recycled!

Kermit: Oh. Well movin' right along-- Fozzie, will you stop struming the banjo whenever I say "Moving right along?!" (banjo) FOZZIE!

Fozzie: Sorry!

Kermit: Now, where were we? Oh, right, we need to take you to the theater.
So just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride there.

(to be continued...)

Maybe they should do a Muppet stageshow with full body Muppets. It might be similar to Muppets On Location.

^that sounds like a good idea. maybe we can use the stage where Drawn To the Magic happens, the restrict Drawn to the Magic to the sidewalk of the Animation building. It makes more sense, too.

Oh yes, that's perfect. The characters I'm going to choose are Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo the Great, and Rowlf the Dog. I like Kermit to do Happy Feet.
