Default Complete Walt Disney World Fantasyland Makeover!

I think Fantasyland is a great land but at Magic Kingdom it looks like a fair. I like Disneyland's theming because it seems more realistic looking. I think we should get the theming of Disneyland's & also work on the animatronics in the dark rides.

Would do y'all think?

I totally agree, I think they should add some more folliage and grassy areas to give it a more organic feel and get rid of all those magenta and cyan tent-like marquee signs for the entrances to the attractions. For heaven's sake it's Fantasyland not Medieval Carnaval Land.

I would like to see an IASW similar to Tokyos so that you can see it more. Tokyo's looks like DL's on the out side but is like WDW's on the inside nuy with a large mural instead of the towers.

Also while they are at it they could do something to the lagoon.

^^ Personally, I would like to see the theming take on a new look much like to what is found at Disneyland Paris.

Well, the lagoon is already gone.

I got some ideas for MK's FYL, including not one, but two more movie-themed dark rides. One of them is called: Voyages of the Little Mermaid, one of the best yet-to-be-built Disney attractions yet. It will be the exact same ride as seen on the bonus features of TLM DVD. Click here (at YouTube, surprise, surprise): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBUMRk-nkdA.

And the other dark ride is called: The Adventures of Pinocchio, a more elaborate, longer version of Pinocchio's Daring Journey from Disneyland. Anyway, here's the thread for that ride and the verbal tour therein:
The Adventures of Pinocchio.

Maybe we should add the Fantasyland Theatre.

Another thing I decided to add to WDW's FYL is a slightly scaled-back version of DLP's Alice's Curious Labyrinth!

I thought of another spinner attraction, the fourth one in the area. It's a swing ride called the Hunny Tree, themed to Winnie the Pooh. This swing ride has guests sitting in seats that look like balloons as they swing around the giant honey tree of "Winnie the Pooh" fame.

This makes "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" the third movie to inspire more than one themed attraction at Disney parks, after Dumbo and Alice In Wonderland.

Does anyone know if Disneyland's Fantasyland's architecture is supposed to theme to any one Disney film? If so, which one? Because I'm thinking of doing something similar here. I only hope that the new FYL remodel proposition of mine for MK does not compete with Epcot's World Showcase.

I don't know what film. Actually come to think of it, it probably is a cross between Sleeping Beauty/Cinderella (Castle areas) and Pinocchio (Wood-land areas).

Anyways, I think the MK should atleast relocate It's A Small World and build a way better facility, just like the one at Disneyland, because as of right now it's just a joke (noting to the "mini" facade inside the attraction).

Well, I doubt that it will be physically possible to move the Small World building. Not just because of the water and all the plumbing and the electric works and the characters and what not, but also because it's been dug down into the ground a bit.

Has anyone else considered anything for Fantasyland? It definitely needs an overhaul like the one Disneyland's Fantasyland got in 1983.

So I just heard that as part of its drastic overhaul, DCA is getting an omnimover-type attraction themed to The Little Mermaid. And even long before I thought about it (even long before the Little Mermaid DVD came out), I thought that there needs to be a TLM ride at WDW's FYL, based on the abandoned ride concept for DLP.

And with a ride themed to TLM decided on for DCA, I decided it would make a beautiful addition to WDW's MK's FYL! How about that?
