Aladin's Oasis is in Adventureland and is above ground, between the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise Ride. It used to be the Polynesian Terrace until that went off to Yesterland. It seems that I never see Aladin's Oasis open anymore and I usually go in the summer, so you would think it would be. Maybe the queue area is somewhat hidden from view?

I ate there once, when it first openned many years ago. Reservations were necessary (same day) and it was a dinner theater type charge, something like $40, for skiscabob and some bland tasting Persian bread. The desert was good. The show was just Disney Characters. I'm not really one for paying to see characters! I'm glad I tried it, but thought it was a waste of money.

I enjoyed the Polynesian Terrace and its show much, much more. That was good food, and not at an all inclusive dinner theater price either, plus an authentic polynesian revue. Wish it would return to DL.

Aladdin's Oasis is still open. It is now a show that involves some audience participation.

The queue starts in the small courtyard near the theater entrance. A sign with Genie's hand is located there. Once inside the theater, guests sit down in chairs and kids are encouraged to sit on carpets at the base of the stage (if you don't stay on the carpets they will "fly away"). The set-up of the stage features a marketplace and the Cave of Wonders.
The show starts with "apprentice storyteller" Kazoom coming out of the cave. He begins the story by showing us the lamp ("Oooh! Aaaah! Eeee! Iiii! Ohhhhhh! Uuuuuuuuu!") The story is told with Aladdin, Jasmine, and (mostly) Kazoom playing the parts. Early in the story when Aladdin is captured, two kids are called to play the Prison Guards. Later, one kid is chosen to make the "wish noise". Near the end, Jafar comes out played by Kazoom. But, Kazoom says, "Wait a minute, I can't play all the parts!", and chooses one last kid, most likely a little girl, to play Jafar. After Jafar is "defeated", Aladdin and Jasmine marry. All the participating kids get buttons. Guests can get a picture and/or autograph with "the happy couple" before exiting.

I know it's not the same but, if you would like entertainment while you eat and you haven't tried it already, you might like to eat at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD. There is a certain room (I forgot the name) where the dixieland band mostly plays and you can eat there. You need to make reservations and request that room. Also, there sometimes is a band at the French Market in NOS.

And, of course, before you enter the Enchanted Tiki Room you can buy something to take in with you. I love to do that!

They should make the Aladdin Oasis a Character Dining though , that would be fun to meet Aladdin & Jasmine and watch the show as you eat !
