Default Toy Story: The Musical

Hey everyone,

Great news! Disney Creative Entertainment are creating a musical version of Toy Story for Disney Wonder which will debut next year in April 2008. Here's the proof:http://www.mouseinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84207 There's also been a rumor that the show is also bound for Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre after it is enclosed. Oh, please that rumor is true. By the way, I know some of you think that Toy Story the musical wasn't very Fantasylandish, but please give it a chance if they are officially going to do it at Disneyland too. Anyway, that's the dish. And remember...Everything's coming up stageshows.

Because that space is used for private parties and FLT is in a much better location.

I like Toy Story, I don't like musicals.

Why does everyone feel that it is necessary to turn every movie into a musical? Let movies be movies. If you want a musical then write a musical. I don't think it is necessary to fuse the two every time a movie does moderately well. I couldn't even imagine the songs in the Toy Story musical. A chorus of people in toy costumes singing about Pizza Planet seems unappealing.

True, however, the creativity which goes into creating a musical based off of a movie and how the song spots are chossen is what makes turning movies into musicals so interesting.

Yeah. I mean come on. Let's take a look on the bright side. At least, it's not going to be on Broadway.

No, it will in 2 years most likely, after Finding Nemo, then will come A Bug's Life, then Ratatouie, after that then the Incredibles, and finally, Wall-E, which will be sort of a rip off of Starlight Express.
