I wouldn't believe anything until you read it as a rumor from a reliable source. Honestly, Arizona doesn't seem like it would be a good choice, its not very far from California so what is the point? I think if Disney decided to do another park in the states it wouldn't be so close to another park.

That was sort of my thinking except that I believe all those states gets snow, a big no-no for a Disney park. I could see one in Texas just I really don't think that is likely.

Also think this is a very horrid state to live in around the summer, and for the reasons other people have stated. If there was one in Arizona, i'd rarely go. I don't think it'd have alot of population.

^ That as well. Arizona in the summer is dreadful. During the winter it would be great, but if there is a chance of it being too hot for people to visit for several month of the year, then there is no point in them building a park there.

Never in Arizona. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winters (depending on where you are in the state), too close to DLR, and too little population to draw from. Again, that's why outside Florida and California, Texas is the best Amusement Park State. We have two Six Flags theme parks, SeaWorld, Two Schlitterbahns, and melees of more local water parks. If you wanted to put another Disney park somewhere in the states, you'd want it probably in the Hill Country or maybe a little north of it. A little colder, but still an easy drive for most of the state, huge local populations to draw on. If they ever really WERE going to put a theme park here, we all know where it would go, though: San Antonio, home of SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas (Six Flags), or Dallas/Fort Worth, home of Six Flags over Texas, the Texas Raceway, and a whole lot of other touristy stuff. Also has the I-35 split, remerging, and 20, 30 and 45 meet. Lots of land just ten or twenty minutes outside the city, lots of infrastructure built up, and Dallas gets a good amount of rainfall as far as Texas goes.

The rumor is probably stemming from the idea that developers in Eloy (a small city between Phoenix and Tucson with LOTS of land) are trying to push for the opening of Decades Theme Park, a rock & roll based theme park. There are several obstacles in the way; we shall see if it will ever come to fruition, and in this humble Arizonan's opinion, DEAR LORD, I HOPE NOT.

I don't think Arizona needs a Disney Park. The residents can always just come on west to California for Disneyland. That's what my family did while living in Arizona. It was nice to escape the heat and visit the park a little bit.
