Exclamation The Return of Knott's Bear-y Tales?

Rumors have been flocking from Knott's Berry Farm workers saying that Cedar Fair is considering the return of the classic dark ride Knott's Bear-y Tales which was designed by that good old imagineer, Rolly Crump, who is known for his never built Museum of the Weird section of the Haunted Mansion. If you don't know what Bear-y Tales was it was a wonderfully themed dark ride about a family of bears baking pies for a fair, when a crafty coyote stole their pies, thus resulting in a trip through a factory, gypsy camp, and forest, etc. It was closed in the 1980's during the dinosaur craze, and replaced by the Kingdom of Dinosaurs which is a pretty cool dark ride too, that closed in 2004 and his currently rotting away, creepy. If you want to experience the attraction for yourself, head to YouTube and type it up, my friend althegamefreak has posted a vintage video of the attraction. So do any of you think that this dream will come true for Knott's fans, or is it going to become another roller coaster? Your input?

Ya the Laser Tag/arcade thing took over the bottom floor only, a few of the dinosaurs are still up there, rotting away to pieces, similar to the 20k subs a few years back. You know the more I think about it, the more I miss the dinosaurs, even though it was a really lame dark ride and it stopped like every two minutes. Cedar Fair bring back both dark rides!

I've seen a video of the ride, but what was supposed to be happening in that "Thunder Cave" thing before approaching the fair?

I don't know that part really is blurry and dark, I think there is a giant spider and a skeleton or something.

This thread sparked my interest on this ride. I had no idea about it until now. Was this ride located in the building now occupied by the arcade near supreme scream or another arcade?

This ride was housed in what later had become Kingdom of the Dinosaurs. It's nothing now I believe. It is back by the bumper cars in the very back of the park. I know when they closed BT and they were making KotD, they moved some of the theming of BT toCamp Snoopy and made a funhouse kinda thing where kids can run through tunnels and climb stuff. I think it was still there, but that was the only place you could see anything referring to the old ride.

When Bear-y tales was being changed to KOTD.a majority of sets and figures went to the funhouse, some went to employees, people's private collections, and in the Garbage.I've been in the funhouse as a little kid and still remember the bear's but mostly Crafty coyote. The Bear-y tales funhouse no longer exists because cedar fair always removes copyrighted material when they purchase a park.Later on the figures were taken out again but ended up being locked up in the funhouse.until years later they were taken out of it and were turned into halloween haunt props for scary farm.turned into mechanical monsters ands stuff.i still have very fond memories of the funhouse and KOTD.

The ride was located in the boardwalk which used to be the roaring 20's area.it was where the arcade is and the bumber cars.the arcade and the bumber cars have always been in the same place since the roaring 20's made its debut back on july 4th 1975.
the ride was on the second floor on top of the arcade.

As of right now they took out the walkways guests walk under to KOTD.leaving only the saber tooth sign to remain. So maybe it could be possible for something to appear in there. who knows.im still thinking a new ride will appear or bear-y tale's return.
