Possible Kingdom Keepers Movie

I was looking on the Ridley Pearson website (co author of peter and the star catchers and author of The Kingdom Keepers) and I heard rumors that ridley pearson is trying to make a deal with walt disney pictures to make A Kingdom Keepers Movie. anyone know anything about this???

I love that book I'm currently in the middle of it right now! I think that would make an awesome movie! As long as they filmed it in the actual parks and not on a stage set somewhere!

There's still rumors about them working on making this a movie but so far I haven't heard any other big news about it. Here's to hoping they get the green light to make this since I really enjoyed the books.

Although yes it would be very neat to see a movie based off the book, I don't see it happening for quite some time if at all. Reason being, Disney has no way to tie in the book to the park outside of the fact that it happens at WDW since the technology to make said holographic guides is pretty much out of the question. At least ones that could move with you and also go into attractions with you. So how could Disney tie it into their parks like they did with Pirates? They really won't do it unless they could have something at the parks that would be an attraction to tie in the characters and story. Maybe a play in one of the theaters/stages or even maybe a parade. But I doubt it. Sure you could see the characters in the park but that is not very entertaining cause the human forms in the books are dressed like normal people where as the holographic ones are shimmery and can be seen through.

^ Well for one thing, Disney can make those effects. They've done really cool effects before, and i'm sure they could do it again.

Yeah sure it would be fun to see a Kingdom Keepers movie but what I'm worried about (and I'm sure some others would feel the same) is that if it actually did pass....that the movie would ruin some of the Disney magic. = (

Ok, so I was just now looking around on the internet about a Kingdom Keepers movie, and this is one of the posts I saw on this one website.

"Kingdom Keepers is heading to the big screen! They started auditions in September and ended at late October. The movie is planned to hit theaters sometime between mid-2009 to late-2009. Hope this helped!"

Not sure if this is true though. But I hope it is! I would make sure I went to the midnight opening!

So far, there is no movie. I'm quoting an interview here that Ridley Pearson did on Walt Disney Radio:

"If I had it my way, book 1 would have been done filming right now and book 2 would be underway."

So, there is no movie - my advice is if you have a YouTube, please make a video encouraging Disney to make the movie. It will put a lot of pressure on them to do it.
