It's understandable to doubt a rumor simply because it's been heard over and over again for years...but I'd like to encourage y'all to not get too discouraged about this particular one. That's all I have to say about that. =)

I too love the current one we have. I think there is nothing wrong with the current story they're playing, they just need to maybe freshen up the movie because of its poor quality. And possibly new hydraulics as well, they dont seem up to snuff like they used to be around 2000.

^I agree with you. They should start using Digital HD projectors instead, and add in a new audio system, as well as new hydraulics, and maybe a new simulator interior. Different colored seats etc. That'd be awesome, but if there changing it, then we'll just have to get used to it, and I think we'll all live.

Quick story:
A co-worker of mine went to Disenyland for the first time a few months ago. He took his wife and kids (their first time too) and he had a blast. I asked him what his favorite thing in the whole park was and he said... (*drum roll please*)... Star Tours! It was "The sickest, coolest thing [he'd] ever seen!" He said that it was even better than Indy.

So... even in 2008, people still like Star Tours as it is. Although I am open to a new Star Tours, I wouldn't want a new one if it is something like pod racing. Pretty much anything from Episodes I, II, III would make Star Tours horrible.

^Agreed, nothing beats A new hope, The empire strikes back, and Return of the Jedi. 2, and 3 are good, but I don't like 1. I think my favorite thing about ST is the queue. You could walk around their for fifteen minutes, and listen to the audio, and never hear the same thing, till after 10-15 minutes. Its very interesting, my friend had a recording of the queue that he had on a CD, and its very cool to listen to it. And the ride is good too. Unfortunately tom, if we get a major change to Star Tours I can safely say that it will have stuff from the new movies

Tom, I totally agree with what you said. I would much rather see a new Star Tours from any movie but the three new ones.

But as ryguy said, they probably will make it from the new movies.

Which would suck, big time.

Nightmare? Did you ever think that R2-D2 would deliberatly create a weapons malfunction, just so he could get rid of Jar Jar? I mean come on he's standing in front of the guns, why not? Then C-3P0 comes back, and says, whats this heap of garbage doing on my platform? Now that would be a makeover!

R2-D2 could be the meanest, deadliest droid around. He's certianly crafty enough.

R2-D2... A silent killer.

Could you imagine if the new Star Tours was the car chase from Episode II when Anakin and Obi Wan chase the would be assassin? That would be horrible...
