Default Monsters Inc. 2

There are headlines all over the internet about Monsters Inc. 2 being "confirmed". It's on /film, IGN, FirstShowing, CinemaBlend... all over the place. But nothing is actually confirmed by anyone. Here's what Happened:

At the 2009 Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas, potential product licensees who signed a non-disclosure agreement with Disney/Pixar were shown something. Jim Hill claims that "several" attendees contacted him with the news that it's a sequel to Monsters Inc.

Hmmm, that is really interesting. I very much enjoyed Monster's Inc., and think another movie would be great! I love kitty

I just don't see a sequel could happen. You can't very well bring Boo back in anyway.

One possible plot if this happens is they will see boo as a teenager.

^ i heard a rumor when the movie would take place like a couple years after the first. Boo would be grown up, making stuffed animals and running a toy company, and she makes a Sulley doll based on her memory. one of the workers goes into Boo's daughter's room, and sees the Sulley doll, and now reports it to Sulley. Sulley goes into the room to find Boo sleeping, then wakes up and says, "Kitty?" and then he leaves the room, apparently angry

Huh? How exactly could it only have been a couple of years and have Boo grown up?

As much as I love Pixar, I wish Pixar didn't have to make sequels.

^what? why? I mean there's a major difference between the Pixar sequels and Disney's direct-to-video sequels for movies that are at least ten years old

I think it'd be cool to have a sequel to the movie, just so long as it's a good plot. But if the plot is going to be messed up and change what happened in the first movie, then I say no. I don't know. This is a difficult situation. I would like to see a sequel though. That would be pretty cool!

I have to agree with that. It takes so long to make a Pixar film and I wish that time and energy could be devoted to creating new material. If anyone can make a good sequel, it's Pixar, but I would still rather they didn't do it.

^ I guess so, but sometimes sequels can bring in more money for that movie. I think it's happened before, though I can't give an example because I know of none. But I'm sure it's happened before!
