Default Imagineers...

I just wonder what these guys (Imagineers) have been up to lately, i can't really think of the last big thing they have accomplished. I can't imagine what they are up to now. Anyone willing to shed some light?

DCA makeover, I assume. You have to understand, there are more than 20 different kinds of Imagineers, from lighting to concept art. It's not like a couple of them get together to discuss the next Pixar tie-in.

Most likely they're putting in the finishing touches on Disney's California Adventure's make-over, as Kileli mentioned. They might also be planning on how to adapt The PeopleMover to its original track.

Well they may be on hold for that since there is a new Tron movie coming out. They may be waiting to see if the movie is going to be a blockbuster so they would have the ok on building a tie-in for the old track. Seeing as there was a part of the ride that had segments of the old movie in it.
But yes, there are so many different Imagineers like Kileli said. It's not the same Imagineering as it was in Walt's day.

I was at the Imagineering facility the other day and a large group of Imagineers was dressed in wizard's costumes standing around a large boiling cauldron conjuring up attractions out of the ether.

Imagineering is a tough, tough job. Those folks contend with a multitude of problems and issues on any given attraction that most of us are never even aware of. They will always have my deepest respect.

Well, that's true. Maybe all they'll do for the time being is get a working PeopleMover car and trick it out to experiment if it'll be a good effect, addition, or improvement on the car. That's what happened with the submarines when Disney was about to make the submarines a Atlantis: The Lost Empire ride.

There's too many things to look over and see if it'll work out and how much it's going to cost. It's complicated.
