i asked my dad about this and he said that there aren't enough people in australia for that...but i think it would be cool
however, i'd like to see a park like Disney Sea, but totally different. Water is huge in Australia obviously and a Disney theme park should reflect that. The castle of the park could be Ariel and Eric's castle, and there could be a land featuring Finding Nemo (he is from Australia) and other underwater things like that. I really think it should be like a marine world or Sea World, but more Disney-theme parkish, you know? Have marine animals but also rides like Animal Kingdom is.

I think they should. It's an English speaking country/continent making it possible to copy the original soundtrack recordings. I mean, I'd like to see statistics on the population of California in 1955. Unlike now, California wasn't exactly sloppin' over with people back then, yet Disneyland obviously succeeded. Also, are there any other Disney parks in the southern hemisphere? All the ones that I am aware of are in the northern hemisphere.

I've always said if there is another Disney park built, it should be in Australia. Aussies rock.

There are plenty of tourists to support a park (millions each year), local numbers should not matter as long as it draws a decent crowd.
A local park would fill a gap in the theme market especially if built in Sydney since the only theme park closed about a year ago. I would even be happy with a DisneyQuest as long as they go all-out & theme it as heavily as possible!!

The Jungle Cruise could be done with a Crocodile Dundee theme!

i agree on the sydney part, we had Wonderland then that closed, so now we only have the smallest theme park (Luna Park) and thats crap.
But i thinks we really need a disneyland.

I just thought i'd add a thread to get feedback/criticism whichever from people with their thoughts on why this isn't/why there should be
a Disneyland in the Southern Hemisphere...namely Australia.... Even if it is Hong Kong Disneyland size, as long as it had some sort of Colonial Style Haunted Mansion, Pirates, possibly a Matterhorn or even Mount Everest people would enjoy that. Thats about all. |

I certainly wouldn't mind having a Disney resort in another English-speaking country. I've always wanted to go there and that would make me want to go even more. Whether that's actually something that would bring them a good enough amount of money to justify doing it, is another story.

Well, once you've been to a Disney Park, you can never go anywhere else without being disappointed.
You see Queensland Australia has two parks up here called Dreamworld & Movie World. And theyre disgustingly offensive. Theyre like those Japanese rip off parks that are near Disneyland but just arent Disneyland. So we need a Disneyland here so people down here know what a good park is and how impressive they really are. |
