Exclamation Calling all snickett fans (only if you liked the movie!)!!!!!!

I'm not sure if this thread goes here or off-topic, since it's not Disney, so just move it if it doesn't belong here.

I was looking up the Lemony Snicket movie, came across Wikipedia and it talked about Sequels. Before you say anything like, "Oh, Wikipedia? Don't trust them!", they actually had proof varying from an interview with Daniel Handler to an article about the director (Brad Siberling) saying he wants to do another. Now, you may be thinking, "How will they do it if it is coming true?
The kids are waaaaaaaay too old to do this." In the interviews, Brad and Daniel talked about having Lemony Snickett saying something before the film starts along the lines of this, "What we first showed you was a mere dramatization with actors," then it flashes to things like Jim Carrey stuck in the makeup truck and boom mics, and all that stuff, but then he continues to say "Now, unfortunately, we're going to have to show you the real thing." This is where the real fun begins: you blast through a door, then you see this fantastic stop-motion world (think Tim Burton, almost).

thoughts?

That sounds cool. I did like the movie, and was looking forward to a sequel. I was dissapointed when there wasn't one. But the way that sounds, a sequel could work out great!

^ Then there should be a good chance that they can do a sequel. I'm crossing my fingers! I'd like to see the next three books or so on screen. They just get better after the first three.

and apparently, the studio wanted to do something in the same vein as Harry Potter. I'm hoping for something like this:

Books 1,2,3: Movie 1
Books 4,5,6: Movie 2
Books 7,8,9: Movie 3
Books 10,11,12: Movie 4
Book 13: Movie 5

I think the last one should be alone because its epicness

^ Yeah that's what I thought they were going to do. I thought they were going to continue the movies, and go just like that. Gosh I sure hope they do though! It seems kind of strange to me starting off the first three books of the series with one movie and not continue to make the next books into movies. It doesn't sound right to me.

well, Paramount and Dreamworks have been having some quarrels according to articles about a second movie.

who do you think could voice characters in the series if they continue in stop motion?

^ I honestly don't know. That would be a tricky situation to figure out. All I know is that they should continue what they started, one way or the other.

^well, not the Baudelaires, I mean people like Nero, Carmelita Spatz, etc. I think if they continue they might be tied in a couple of knots. Cause what about Klaus and his hypnotic stuation in the fourth book?

I liked the movie a little bit but I don't think it should get a sequel.
