Default Why doen't Pinnacle Studio Plus support .VOB?

I ask this question because .VOB has the highest bitrate: 6MBps where MP4 is only 2MBps so if you use Pinnacle and you dub the audio you are forced to downgrade the video quality.

usually only actual DVD related programs will support .VOB.

Normal order of things typically goes: Edit your true source, compress to mpeg2, whatever dvd creating program you use takes the mpeg2 and converts it into VOB format.

Just find something that will demux the VOB files back into separate mpeg2 and audio files, if pinnacle supports mpeg2. It's not transcoding and you won't lose quality.

I think it does. I know for a fact it supports .MP4. One of the options that I haven't yet used is to import the video directly to Studio Plus. I use a ripper called Xilisoft only because I got that before my computer upgrade and my old system could not edit video. I still have it only because I had already paid for it. Thanks for your help.
