Video: Tokyo's 15th Anniversary Viva Magic

Welcome to 1998 and Tokyo Disneyland's 15th anniversary. The theme for this anniversary is a carnivale(not a circus carnival, a carnivale). It's plain and simply a happy dancing celebration. This castle stage show has 2 of my favorite songs for a show, "It All Started With a Mouse" and "Mickey's Magical Land", both as a sort of dedication to Mickey which is the overall theme to the show. The opening and closing songs "Disney's Carnivale" are part of the 15th anniversary celebration theme, and variations of it were used for the parade... It's also something I think is very cool that Tokyo does, they make a theme for these celebrations and keep it running through their various shows.

There really is no storyline to this show. It really is just showing that it was all started by a mouse followed by scenes out of several of the movies and adding more characters as we go along before bringing them all back together for the finale and then celebrating 15 years of Tokyo Disneyland. Even during Chernabog's scene it isn't a villain battle or anything it's just the night on bald mountain and nothing more.

I really think you've got to appreciate the sheer magnitude of the number of performers they bring out for this sort of thing. Then of course you have the creativity of disney show designers creating unique and imaginative scenes like the development of mickey in the beginning, the character freeze frames, or even just the elephants on parade that walk on their hands =D.
