This is just a little side venture for everybody. It's not hosted in VF's gallery and is related to Tokyo Disneyland rather than Disneyland or WDW. Enjoy :) (yes, it's all in english)
Travel back to 1993 for Tokyo Disneyland's 10th anniversary. This stage show took place in front of Cinderella's Castle. The costumes are very amusing and look like something right out of the future from Bill and Ted or Captain Eo. While it may seem simple, and perhaps somewhat odd, this show has a special touch to it that I enjoyed very much the first time I watched it.

Mickey and his friends celebrate the magic and beauty of colors, when Maleficent decides to spoil the fun and show them the power of true magic, stealing the colors away and fading the entire stage into a dismal black and white. This effect alone is amazing, and when Mickey brings them back it's even a cooler moment than the climactic battle. If there are any old Epcot Center fans, you will probably recognize that this is the show they used when they created the Splashtacular show at the Fountain of Nations.
A few interesting notes, since many people's first impression after watching the climax of this show will probably be "Hey it's like fantasmic." The 10th anniversary logo for it should remind you of Disneyland's 35th anniversary logo, which took place in the latter half of 1992. Even the giant inflated Mickey should remind you of Disneyland's 35th parade. You may also have realized that this is around the time when Fantasmic came out. Tokyo certainly took interest after seeing the show, and this castle stage show does involve Mickey battling Maleficent as a dragon. But the comparisons stop there. This was not meant to be a Fantasmic, and soon after they debuted Fantillusion which was much more related to the concept of Fantasmic in a parade format. It certainly did take from the idea to battle a dragon, but this is simply one of their fun stage shows that lasted for a while until they moved on to something else, not a 15 year long spectacle.
