Video editing software?
Is there anything better than iMovie out there? And not as expensive as Final Cut Pro?
If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

Well, Final Cut Express ($299) bridges the gap between the two, but it's a bit lacking in new format support at the moment. It supports DV and HDV, but as of yet AVCHD (like that used in new Sony and Panasonic cameras, I believe) remains unsupported.
Usage-wise, it retains many of the amenities of FCP while removing some of the ultra high-end features. If you're serious about video editing, I'd consider this app a worthwhile investment.
